The problem that I see with Makezine's design at the moment is that the pistons are wasting an awful lot of energy pushing the water in the cans about - a refinement that I would suggest to the design is using smaller water cans and having the pistons move only up and down rather than oscillating.
Otherwise, very well done on building this - I've been meaning to build one for a while but never got around to it :P
