Holy shit, it took my 8th grade 7th hour language arts class about 1 whole month EVERYDAY none -stop reading for the whole hour just to get done with it, and I would fall asleep everyday, this book doesnt even make sense every chapter there is a new person, I couldnt seem to follow the book.... Some of the things that Kristen and Britanny would have gone through can't be shown on tv for the sake of not warping their minds. The Nazis, for example, often raped girls the age of the main character brutally and the psychological warfare of having your family murdered and then having your body beaten and violated was sometimes too much.

Many Jews spoke Yiddish during the Shoah and many older ones still do and we have so many cool Yiddish words in our vocabulary in many western countries that would never exist weree it not for Jewish populations.
