  • i would like to experience this for myself. when is the best time to experience a tsunami?

  • I just returned from my first thailand-trip yesterday.

I spent three nights in this Cabana-Hotel on Phi-Phi-Island and those days were really ones of the bests in my life ever. Cannot believe what happened there.

But what they are doing there now is not good at all - the are constructing like hell and the pollution on that island is awful!

  • There are some stupid people commenting on this video, if a tsunami is coming through and there are people around there probably isn't much to say. "I hope those people are okay" is probably all he had on his mind at that point. I say it I'd be shocked if I saw somethin' like this, and I'd wonder the same thing.

  • i lived in that hotel in one weak.... we were lucky we left phi phi one hour before the tsunami came.

  • The kids cry reminds me of my own kids...

  • i feel i need to cry when i saw the video , i was in march in thailand and it's the hell out of a beautiful place . When i was in the middle of the ocean going to phiphi i said to myself "i won't mind dying if i can see this place for 1 second , it worth going to thailand " i love thailand and i love THAI people . From a LEBANESE who fell in love in thailand . I will visit you thailand until the end of my life ....

  • @eliazourosqw yeah thailand is really the magic place, but to bad corrupted goverment.

  • I was just there this April 18-26 -- it's pretty much recovered now. It's an amazing place to visit -- gorgeous beaches and friendly people. Great massages too!

  • many people died in phi phi?

  • @trotskyfication Again... I want you to look at what you just fucking typed and tell me that is cognitive at ANY POINT. "as an of yours american i know" ... what could that even mean? And the last time I checked being retarded wasn't sexual.

  • we,re not goin anywhere today..lol ....You thank God you reserved in the 3rd floor ..the 1st floor was coplitely under water..I hope not many ppl were there..this was really painful ..

  • @trotskyfication I want you to read this back to yourself and see if one word of that made any sense at all... I typed it in Babblefish and it just translated it to English as "murmurings of a retarded person".

  • i hate this guy!

  • I'm not trying to troll, i'm just wondering, how to people die from this? it just seems like a lot of water, and doesn't seem that deep.

  • @wafflesaregoood doesnt have to be deep bud if theres enough of it 6 inches of water will take a car with it

  • @wafflesaregoood

You know how much force is behind this water? A tsunami is essentially the ocean displaced. even if you manage to keep your head above water moving at these speeds, there is so much debris in the water that you can be crushed/injured etc

  • Im leaving. This Tsunami completely ruin my vacation. I just hope my wallet and passport is still in the lobby safety box. How are we going to eat today, Is there any restaurant in the mountains? I order massage for 3 pm and payed in advance. I wonder if I get my money back. Im claiming my money back from the hotel. Damn, i left my towel on the beach. Thank God I have insurance. Something like this could be a whiner saying while thousands are dying out there.

  • My friend was there a year before the tsunami came. :S

  • i went thier a few weeks ago

  • is this Cabana Hotel ?

  • @akid35 Yes, This is the Cabana. We stayed there for 10 days this summer (2010)

    Everything looked fine now.

  • it's so scary

  • they probably locked their apartment so no1 else could come into safety

  • looks like a whirlpool

  • I HOPE NO WON WAS OUT DER, DUHH OH MY GOD

  • @quintropolis10 My mom and dad was out, i was with my father in Finland. They and the gardtner crawl up in a palm tree, and come home alive

  • I was just on phi phi a week ago, I was training at the new evacuation building running the steps for about an hour, the whole time a black cat ran with me... The locals believe that the spirits of those that died still roam the island.....

  • This is the Cabana Resort, facing on Loh Dalum beachbay. The beach where the ferry's are not arriving.

  • I wonder what side of the Island he was on. I know there were two bays on PP island, and on one side the waves were twice the size as the other.

  • He's facing the beach side where everyones are swimming and such, the other side is where all the big boats are and such.. I was there aswell, on the boat side and we ran up at this hotel all the way to the roof
