What an amazing song! The melody is uplifting and everything falls into place as the drums come into play. Also, how many bands and songs do you know that are capable of completely turning around the song by bringing in a new sound halfway through it? That takes a lot of talent, and Coldplay incorporates it expertly from 3:20 - 4:05. While this band has produced many excellent songs, this one shatters them all with its meaningful lyrics and untouchable sound.

The term "rip-off" is a fairly derogatory term for someone using material used by someone else, but Coldplay requested permission from Kraftwerk to use the motif and were given it.
