Well sure, I respect your opinion, I agree there could THEORETICALLY be a decent DB/Z movie but only with a lot of HQ masks or CGI...because actors themselves without any masks couldn't really look like DB/Z characters..it would lose the iconic feel and style. That is my main problem with the LAM idea

Well the High School scene is a sub-plot that will won't last for long. You have to understand that this is an ADAPTATION not a remake of the manga. They have to make it more mainstream so not just the fans will like it. The Krillin missing thing does suck, but he wasn't in the Piccolo saga anyway. I commend the studio for taking what I though could never be a movie, a movie. I understand where you coming from, but it's not fair to say I'm not a fan because I'm excited about the movie.

To quote Winston Churchill after El Alemain (I believe I could be wrong) "This isn't the end, nor do I believe this is the beginning of the end, but I do believe it is the end of the beginning." Dragonball Evolution flopped but the sequels may still be in the future, now is the time to stop it, down with DBE! However I disagree with your idea that anime can't work as a Live Action movie in general, due to my optimism (perhaps overly so) that there are brilliant directors who could do it.

I actually agree! We must never stop and never rest! you never know how greedy they can get, but I really hope and believe it won't come out at all.
As for our disagreement about LAM Anime, well I am simply somebody who is too technical and specific about things, so for me there is no optimism/pessimism, there is only a resemblance and faithfulness.
The shear idea of having actor's faces instead of trianglish DBZ eyes small pointy nose and crazy hairstyle is absolutely baaad idea to me.

To me that DB "evolution" movie was just a joke, really bad movie; this is a big kick on the mouth of all DB fans. But anyone is free to see this movie, same as anyone is free to ignore this movie... Not a big deal. I just hope that they release the sequel, and then, they fail and lose a lot of money.

Transformers wasnt maybe HORRIBLE as a MOVIE(Though very close cause of the teenage stuff)
BUT it was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE as an adaptation since autobots nor descepticons looked anything like they should.
And it have big chances of smothering and killing the original Transformers if sequel comes out.

Well the High School scene is a sub-plot that will won't last for long. You have to understand that this is an ADAPTATION not a remake of the manga. They have to make it more mainstream so not just the fans will like it. The Krillin missing thing does suck, but he wasn't in the Piccolo saga anyway. I commend the studio for taking what I though could never be a movie, a movie. I understand where you coming from, but it's not fair to say I'm not a fan because I'm excited about the movie.

The problem is these directors always make these things live action because it gets more attention. But DBZ should be in it's anime format, just like Pokemon, just like Spongebob, and Looney Tunes which is cartoons in a live action enviroment.

I mean just how are they supposed to portray the violence in DBZ into live action, I have the feeling the story is just gonna be a whole karate kid thing. Some people say the movie might turn out well like the dark knight. But the difference between Batman and DBZ is everyone knows who Batman is and who Joker is, but most people assume that DBZ is just a spikey haired dude fighting against monster guys and stuff, when the story is actually deeper, I doubt they even know who Goku is.

Yeah there are bunch of misinformation on wikipedia.
Petition is currently at the 3448 signatures and its kinda getting slower and slower since weak ago...cause obviously people think its only about this first sequel and not against it all...they must understand that its not all in success itself, there is something in principles, and that if someone is a true DB fan he will always gladly sign it, NO MATTER of anything, at least to show his resistence and stand up for what he believe in.
