I saw these guys with Vital Remains in Indianapolis, it WAS epic. Across the street is a McDonalds, my friends and I saw the vocalist of DB and talked with him a bit, and right outside the venue he was throwing ketchup packets infront of the door, haha, it was great. He's real down to earth, pothead metalhead...AND HE WAS DOING METAL YOGA. Cheers!

@psycropticx Augury, The Faceless and Obscura are excellent to (if not even better, 'cause Death's influence isn't as obvious as in DB). Nonetheless, Decrepit Birth is an amazing band.

it's easy...decrepit birth are a lot more atmospherical than necropgaist, but both are different, we can't compare... i'd say that decrepit birth has more of a soul for me as in the instrumental parts, lyrically and on vocal parts. their lyrics are really awsome. bill ronbinson took a lot peyotte !!

I really think they lost it after And Time Begins, I really dont have the same respect for these guys after the grandiose change to Diminishing. It's just too happy. The technicality is respectable though, and to add to the Necrodecrepitfiasco going on here, Necro is German, so they have that edge of ruthless German timing but I do think that though happy Decrepit's are a little more inventive.

I think their technicality is way too different than Necrophagist's. In my personal opinion I think that these guy are way more technical, but their guitar solos are not as intense and techinical's a muhammed. Any way they are both great bands. I'm starting to like Decrepit Birth more though, because a lot of Necrophagists songs seem to have similar riffs in one part or another. Any way they are both great!

Necrophagist songs are much more difficult to play than Decrepit Birth. Decrepit Birth have a lot more breathing room too.

@MerryMullet I think Muhammed's solos are fast but just recycle the same old sweep arpeggios; they'r so predictable. I actually think that the riffs he writes are much better. Overall though I think DB is better.

@MerryMullet Necrophagist is more technical then Decrepit Birth i assume that you arent a musician otherwise you would know ,Decrepit Birth is a more Death influenced band and better then Necrophagist if you ask me but it isn't about how technical you can be the technical aspect of these guys comes naturally . when they write something it just comes out that way the dont make an song for the sake of being tech And about the Necrophagist riffs that they sound similair thats just bullshit

@MerryMullet I agree. Decrepit Birth makes harmonies on EVERYTHING so that is one reason. I absolutely love both bands. Muhammed's solos are orgasmic. I'm glad you didn't compare them like everyone else on the internet would do.

Necrophagist easilly top these guys, because they don't just pull genaric and dull melodeath with sweeps thrown in every two seconds to seem tech. Necrophagist are progressive, mellow, out-there and just plaine amazing. These guys are over rated and the one good album they ever did never seems to get any respect from their own "fans".

Decrepit Birth don't have as wide a fan-base as Necrophagist, but it's not because of people wearing their shirt. No one goes around looking at shirt logos and says "Im a fan!". Necropagist CONSTANTLY tour, on global scales, they've been around longer. They're better. However, the people who DO listen to Decrepit Birth say they're the greatest band on the planet and do nothing but praise these morons. Most people say Necrophagist is just random sweeps". Can we bring this to PM? I want more room.
