@hangfire13 Yes. When he was in the Navy, he was in a motorcycle accident and damaged his leg permanently. That's why if you notice, in still pics he will mostly have his legs spread wide, and in motion pics, he will hobble to the mic and while at the mic stand on 1 foot, most of the time not always.

I took this Rock history class, and my professor said that Gene and Jim Morrison were good friends, and Jim Morrison was really influenced by Gene. Jim wore all black leather because of Gene and even imitated that stance that Gene had to do due to his motorcycle accident. Haha, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
