I remember going to school and not knowing how the toothbrush and mug teacher has given me were to be used later after recess. Ended up filling up the whole mug with water and putting it in the antique cardbboard case bag I had then. I was pretty sure I followed instructions but when it was time to go home, much to the chagrin of my grandma and myself, my school books landed all wet while my initial enthusiasm with toothbrushing went down the drain..
I remember myself as a primary 1 student again 22 years ago. Though technology has changed, family demographics in Singapore has also changed, one thing has not changed is how students will learn how to start new and adapt to a totally new environment, making new friends. There are seemingly many things adults can learn from our children, from adaptability to have the pure heart that does not discriminate or judge. Watching the video makes me feel like going back to my first day of sch. =)
