  • beautiful fish great !!!

  • it's very nice fish!!!!!

  • this looks a like a cross between a bream and a common carp

  • Too True and just as slimey.

  • hah, bream slime, ERGH

  • That's the smell of success - LOL!!

  • hah hah

  • Hi John,

    Do those things fight?

Also what bait did you take it on?

Im curious, being a typical euro carp angler.

  • Yes mate, Buffs are strong fish so they can fight long and hard. This fish fought a long time and the surges of power are immense. When these things finally surface, everybody just gasps at the sheer size of these fish. Great fish to catch but can be very frustrating to hook in the first place.

  • Just had a look at your boilie and hook range. Very unique flavours lined up, boilie wise and worth trying in the future. when the carp season kicks back off in england i will definately think about the old EZ in 1 hooks. I'd love to come to the USA to have a crack at them carp when im older. are they native to the states?

  • Many Thanks. Yes, Buffalo are native to the USA.

  • i have these in a river by me and i hook them alot but have yet to land one, i surface them to see them and sometimes i don't i think sometimes i get pike or something

  • i was fishing on lake lbj for buffalo and we caught a fish that was shaped like that but had scales on the top and skin on the bottom half of the fish what was it?

  • Those things are STRONG

  • They sure are !!

  • yes they do get big . my buddy caught one a little over 70lbs here in texas . congrats on the buff. so far my biggest weighed one came in a 16.8 lbs

  • awesome fish!!!! that is a pretty fish

  • nice fish. whats that song called again?

  • Evanescence - My Immortal

  • That is a nice fish, I wonder what a fight it was.

  • Buffs are strong fish so they can fight long and hard. They use the profile and weight against you in the slightest of currents. They also stay deep as much as they can leaving you more chance of getting hung up.

  • Way to go man!

  • very nice carp mate well done

  • That is a HUGE buffalo!

  • i didnt even know smallmouth buffalo get that big!

  • It is a Small Mouth Buffalo which is native in the USA. It is part of the Sucker family.

  • wat fish is that??
