  • U ARE RUBBISH BITCH !!!!!!!! FAKE TRINI

  • iz niggas...wa yuh expect,,,,,dey worse dan d corbeaux dat livin dey...........if yuh pull in dey wid a van,,,yuh comin out wid yuh bottom opened up>.<

  • "We care for you, Only the PNM understands"- Where is the caring? Where is the love? In this land of sooo much, where billions are spent on buildings and" front", why can't we inprove the lives of these people? God help us here in Trinidad if this continues without proper address!

  • The Beetham been like this since creation so why blame Patrick Manning. Every country has a landfill that looks exactly like this. This place was around during British rule, Eric williams, George Chambers. Provide jobs and job training for the people that calls this place home. Nobody wants to live like this. poverty is man made

  • Why Manning doh help these people an give them a HDC house that he has so much off instead he have them in ellise plaza fuh 1. something million fuh his special people he an he nasty stink dutty corrupt government as Obama would say it's these people that are the back bone of an economy without them we can't survive as comfortable yes they poor but noone should be treated like this I went in there twice an it's a horrible sight when he outta government he better stay in hidding yes chupid cunt

  • Why people bashing PNM here? This was around since NAR and UNC. All political parties in Trinidad is the same and I dont understand how people so foolish to just blame one party all the time.

  • @keroncoward the pnm was in power from the beginning and they have been in power 95% of the time so who else would u blame? nar an unc was in power for short periods! like duh where you was living?

  • @rmathura Crime has been around for all political parties so to blame it on a political party is foolish. Blame it on the people and the drug lords that putting drugs and guns in poor areas.

  • one year I was down deh and I was riding down the highway and seen 4 yute dem running across inna front of we after dem trash pick..that sight weiged heavy on my mind for a while..A next time we inna traffic jam along di highway and I see some dread run up 3 car in front of we and tek a cutlass to a coolie and rob di man in broad daylight..

  • the beetham. Is it politics. I don't think politics is to blame for the Beetham. It has a landfill in every country face reality it have rich people, middle-class people and poor people everywhere life is what you make of it. Some people got lemon and make lemonade, what would you make remember it's not where you come from its where you going

  • This is truly a depressing site, and weighs on my heart deeply.

  • oh gawd!! PNM TIL AH DEAD!!!! I voting for manning I love picking up trash.

  • Pressure Niggas More and those who Use Niggas Conveniently are no different. We used to go there to get some refused factory food, those were the days...sad but true... we will be poor because someone has to be...but some of us will make it...each one help one..forget government...its a land fill not a resort..the concern should be for Sea Lots and Beatham residents more than those scavenging because the health of those people are seriously at a peril.

  • I blame PNM yes, but they don't deserve it all, i think alot of my fellow trinis deserve the blame for keepin manning an them in power for so flippin long and it will not change, because too many ignorant people who aren't willing to make the change live down here, the government needs to prioritize properly man, anyways, a little comment on youtube is not going to change the state of home, but lets pray someone can.

  • this is a result of what happens if you support the PNM loyally all of your life!! Enjoy the hell you created

  • its ah dump...wat to expect....better roads....."if he had money he would develope d dump"....this vid to funny..lol

  • so you mean to tell me that the gov't can spend so much money on the summit but watch their citizens suffer? We need a new, un biast, gov't that has the ppl's interest at heart, either that or mr manning and mr maxwell need to get they shit together for real cuz this shouldnt be happening

  • @triniqueen2560 the gov't didn't put all tht garbage and shit there

  • when i am listening to her words.. i feel like slapping on my ears.she is not fit to be a media on screen reporter.but i know it happens only in Trinidad.

  • Its not that this can't be fixed i used to live here until i got my act up moved to Tobago and now livin comfortable and out of trouble, now the truth is every youth beetham can do that. All we need is some motivation in these and were good. We all can make something better of life all we need is love and unity.

  • It's not the matter of Trinidad being poor and ppl living in poverty cuz of lack of jobs. A lot of these wutless yutes refuse to go work like regular people they prefer to get money the "easy" way to "maintain" their lifestyle if that's how u should put it. Please they need to stop trying to get things easily and start WORKING for it.

  • they're diggin in a dump and living in shanties.. the white blood cells in their viensworking harder than you will ever have to just keeping them alive.

  • Piscesbaby u iz a pisces Jackass!

a brainwashed fool, u play into the psychological warfare the system wages on us. Keep on believein in the system n u go get snuff out right along wit it

  • Thank you so much RudeBoy. I take pride in being an EDUCATED, INTELLIGENT and very well put together BRAINWASHED FOOL. What psychological warfare is the system allegedly waging on you all? What system do you speak of? Give me a damn break. Please help this brainwashed fool understand.

  • I from they 2.....right opposite

  • woi woi woi look meh home lol

  • Whoa, I lived on the Beetham until the age of six and then I came to the states. I never realized the Beetham was the"hood" until meeting other Trinis from different parts of the island. I must have been sheltered or just had it really good cause I have never witnessed any of this............ This was a real eye opener for me.

  • ITS HARD BUT MAKE A LIVEIN SOME HOW

  • Trinidadians will act on this problem now if only we are shamed into recognizing how serious it is and how backward we are viewed internationally because of it. If the authorities are determined enough, this scavenging can end tomorrow and all those people would get CEPEP jobs. Yet there is real money to be made in scavenging, especially with scrap metal prices doubling every year as China imports more steel.

  • To the woman supporting her daughter I would say; what is the use of getting an education for your daughter if one day you return from the dump and accidentally spread a deadly disease from hospital waste? The discrimination against Beetham residents is well documented though; they need a Martin Luther King to fight for their rights.

  • A concerted effort to secure the landfill from outsiders is necessary. With full employment in Trinidad, there are definitely better jobs available; but old habits die hard (this has been going on for generations) especially if it is as easy as jumping onto the back of a Truck to get into the dump.

What needs to be done is separate the metals, bottles and paper waste and invite small companies employing residents to collect and transport waste for export/recycling in a safe and sanitary manner.

  • This in turn leads to the break down of morality in society - the rich doing everything to protect what they have and isolate themselves as much as possible, and the poor concerned only with getting what the rich have (by any means necessary in many cases). People such as those at the landfill are the collatoral damage of the situation - the poor who must survive in this society but still have their morals and values which stop them turning to crime.....

  • Good video - should be more like this.

Something wrong in Trindad......For an oil-rich nation, there seems to be a shortage of money (or is it inclination?) for social services/support....By constantly looking to America economically and increasingly also culturally, we can see the widening of the gap between rich and poor - leaving two extremes which cannot (and perhaps ahould not) live together peacefully. There has always been rich and poor, the difference now is the extremes involved.

  • From the low numbers of views I guess people don't like to face the sadly truth
