Thank you! Most videos with zills/finger cymbals are difficult to understand because they don't give enough close ups or detail or they just move too fast.
THANK YOU for making it easy to follow & understand. :)
Hi Michelle! LOOVE your dvds - got 4 so far I think. bought them last X-mas from you, rmmbr? must admit i have not worked with them so far (also due to knee issues from an old injury).have picked them up now and LOVE them. it s perfect hips, and b.d.basics.
Do you think I ll be ready for drills drills drills soon? Pop lock shimmy will be too difficult i guess?
My issue is i ve struggled with controlled shimmies for a LOONG time. At parties i can do them well when in the mood - at home or in
class: no way. a stuttering shimmy that is not pretty :(
i ve now started veeery slow controlled ones with the hip (because of my knee issues i do not move the knees so much) - your beginner instruction inspired me to do so and i ve seen progress after a few days! now it s a pretty but slow shimmy (and still not sooo sustainable). :)
do you recommend drills drills drills at this stage already?
thanks :)
p.s. can u tell where to get such a pretty practice scarf?? have been searchin this style :)
DinaVienna - coming from another Drills Drills Drills owner, I can tell you that it's a cool DVD because it caters to different levels. It also starts you with cymbals. It's the kind of DVD that you can pick & choose the sections you want to work on and skip the parts that are too challenging.
thanks very much - guess what my shimmy has suddenly improved quite a bit - I did it in the ocean on my holiday last week for 20min a day :)) THAT was tough - and not hard on the knees obviously. I can now shake the knees back and forth without pain, so it s bigger. Not fast though :-s I dont think I ll ever get it going really fast and slow.
Well hope s to survive. With such an improvement within a week I better not complain ;)
Hmm..tips....Just keep practicing. If you put in practice time every day, and especially make yourself work on things that are difficult for you, it will pay off over time.
Great DVD!

Why should just belly dancers plays finger cymbals/zills? They should also be played by professional musicians for ANY type of music.
