  • If i said i was 5'6" and weigh 145 lbs, run a 4.7 40 yard dash, bench 150, squat 195, and dead lift 230. I'm mostly a fast running back but can truck over safteys and corners. Do ya'll think from what i said i can be a good running back in highschool. Oh and I'm a sophmore

  • hey guys im working hard to be a running back (power back) or full back, i'm 15 years old 6 ft and weigh between 210-220 lbs, i bench 210 lbs, squat 275, and dead lift 370 lbs. my 40 yd sprint time is reaching the lower 5s and i can hurdle things that are about 3 to 4 ft off the ground if some tries to take out my legs, i played offensive for 2 years so i'm a really good blocker and next year i'm moving to a high school with 200-300 do you guys think i could do it.

  • @FrankMaster73 Develope technique, because it will always beat speed I had a friend in high school names jean that ran a 5.02 and he was runningback. HE was the type of guy that would strap 3 sleds to his back and run sprints, come game time you wouldn't know he was slow because he was 5'9 weighed 205 and trucked the shit out of people he ocassionally broke 40+ yard runs, recruiters shied awya because of his 40 time and his size

    Everyday i do 100 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, 100 crushes, and at least 5o pull up's, while also working on my triceps with 20lb dumbells. Plus, i jog every morning Monday-Sat at 7:00, and i drink 4 protein shakes a day. I expect to be Big as FK by next year, gaining a good 30 to 40 lbs. i weigh 140 right now. 5-7"

  • @ludacrisbig Idealy, I would say WR but you're a good size for high school HB...If you're concerned about yourself physically, you're 40 time is a little slow. But it maybe due to bad machanics, not your overall speed. Go to a college and ask one the fast guys about that. They'll be happy to fill you in.

  • @63legendary quick question man if you don't mind.going to train for football until my last breath if it takes doing so.I am 19 6 foot 5 230 pounds and thinking of trying out for a running back in a few years if I don't have to have back surgery that is due to a mild case of scoliosis.I won't give up despite my problems I was just wondering what is your opinion on what position I should play.I have good cuts and speed just starting out again I guess my long ass legs could be the reason.

  • @63legendary I have been 6 foot 5 since the 8th grade and do pretty well with speed and cutting because I played basketball mostly my whole life.I really don't care about my health problems if I can't fight for my dreams what is the point in life then?As I always said I will fight until my last breath.What is the best cardio workouts?Running/weighted speed rope is the best I have found so far at 22.6%bf my legs are ripped and my arms are getting sick to.I am also seeing the outline of my abs to.

  • @63legendary when I was in middle school two football coaches sat down with me and talked a bit from the BHS Yellow Jackets and offered me a spot on the team as soon as I got into school despite me being a little bit out of shape at the time.Since I moved three years ago I haven't really did much and kind of lost hope but last year I was a whopping 287 and said fuck it I am getting back into shape and won't let anyone get in the way of anything.Gave up once I won't give up again

  • Ha happy you feel better I am thinking about giving up on my dream job just because after a lot of hard work I can already see me passing my Fire 2/PAT after a to only fail a physical test given by a doctor due to past seizures,passing out,scoliosis..My motivation for getting into shape was so I could become a firefighter one day second was chicks.I don't feel better at all but I have been told by friends down south I am really fucked up psychologically atm.Harsh but probably true

  • @63legendary no season at all =(..The two colleges that are near me don't have football.Pensacola State College doesn't have one and neither does UWF I think the only one close is in Alabama and ofc FSU.I don't think I could get accepted into those schools been working out still though.UWF was talking about building a stadium a while back but I doubt its going to happen in the next 2-3 years if it happens at all hope you had a good christmas,new years and no problems!later

  • depends on ur grade/ playing level (fresh, jv, varsity). Id say be a Wide Receiver, but u could be a Running Back if ur a freshman

  • If your 130, and 5"8, your not muscle. You should be 150-175 if your not "fat", and your "muscle", and that's still relatively light, and scrawny. 5"8, muscular is 180-205.

  • Forgot to talk about the cleats and the field condition plays a big part Now strong legs and a strong core is a prerequisite to play running back and should be for every ball carrier position Other than that I agree this is pretty good for a simple direction change but this is to avoid one maybe two defenders and there are 11 of those muthafuckas and probably 10 other dumbasses in yur way. Hopefully a few of them can block. Be able to change direction and ANY direction at the drop of a leg.

  • That sucks flat footed and knee is behind the ankle on some cuts and in front of it on others... you shouldn't be worried about changing directions do what you said and strengthen your core... and stay on the balls of your feet and do some dang Icky Shuffles... Oh also you should tell the kids you coach that there plant foot is also a pivot point and they should drive there knee through after the cut to get back into running form.

  • 1. running around doesnt get u so much faster..it just makes u run the same speed for longer.

    2. there r different techniques and excercises that make u get faster..like that guy said look for cris carter handbook (he was faster at 30 than he was at 25).

    3. resistance training and running backwards will have ur calf muscles ridiculous. do track team i suggest
