@tantawi1992 - “Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?” (Romans 2:4). The truth will be known. Ours is the duty to lead others to it, and not spend time in being resentful or angry or impatient.
that is very true... theres only one GOD and everyone is one in the eyes of the creator... therefore let us give peace to one another and especially every religion... everyone is one in the eyes of GOD
Many Buddhists do not consider Buddha God. The Buddha, as I understand it, to most, is the Enlightened One. The one to emulate. Some feel the same way about Jesus. He was the Enlightened One to be emulated, not necessarily worshipped in the place of God. St. Francis probably understood God and Jesus to be one and the same. I believe we are all part of God, and we all have the Christ spirit. St. Francis was being the Christ spirit that we all have.
Christ Spirit as in Buddha Nature, all these things are the same basic concepts just different names in different frames of thought and slightly different meanings , but in the end point to the same underlying phenomenon.
budha is not true god...he is only on of the buddhist gods...please don't confuse anybody here....Jesus is true God......and there is only one God.....don't compare the Almigthy from other religion like budhism or hinduism...
Buddha is not "only one of the buddhist gods." The Buddhist religion does not have any gods. If you are Buddhist, you believe Buddha is the Enlightened One. You follow his teachings so you may achieve Nirvana. Unless you are a Mahayana Buddhist, you don't even pray to Buddha. Just to let you know.
Precisely I do agree that the prayer of St. Francis here should be a prayer for all regardless of religious denominations. It is because our God is the very same God whom others call Buddha, Allah, and many others.
Buddha is there because the song isnt just a christian prayer. "to be understood as to understand" you understand your christian prayer and we should understand the hindu faith as well.

A bit new age feel. I can't figure out why Buddha is also shown in one of the pics while the theme should be a Christian prayer.
