  • Why would the cold make it faster? Noob question

  • So you lose boost whenever it gets cold?

  • @MadeinBaltimore No, gain about a psi or 2 when its colder.

  • what did your car normally spike at with APR

Mine spikes at like 17 and stays steady on 15

yours looks about the same but its suppose to be steady on 17-18 i heard

  • @MadeinBaltimore exactly what you said. 17 to 16-15. 18-19(maybe) when its cold (-50)

  • @VDubGLI meant 50 not minus 50

  • wouldnt it be smarter to have the cut out before the cat? less restriction.

  • @pundit116 yes but it would have thrown off the o2 sensor. I wanted to keep it CEL free.

  • @VDubGLI put an o2 spacer on it.....or if you have the monies get an o2 simulator

  • Lol, sounds like you need to replace yer clutch.

  • @viperv26 i didnt need to then. i only had 23k miles. i replaced it when it at 78k miles when my transmission went. it was still going strong at 78k but i changed it anyway while i was fixing the tranny. it was fine in the vid.

  • nice car but i have an 01 wolsburg and all i have done is a dv a boost control manual pushing 10 psi a 3in down pipe with high flow cat and a 2.5 in ghl exhaust and 110 is no problem for me. but no offence its still fuck ing fast!

  • @audivw521 I cruise on 95 at 110. Lol

  • my ss sc is faster then that 0-100 thats for sure.

  • @hochsteins1180 Cool story bro..

  • is that just stage 1?

  • chips make a significant difference on these cars. its crazy. i cant wait to chip mine. i have an 04 1.8T GLS

  • woww 2:41 am night runner

nice video ii luv gli supercharged

    germany power

  • @mamalon08 gli's are turbo'd....

  • its not a supercharged... its a turbocharged

  • is tuning your car and putting a chip in it the same thing? sorry if that's a stupid question but I just bought a 05 gli and my friend says he can tune it if I want.

  • i have the 05 Jetta GLI and i have the CHIP, Downpipe, Diverter valve, CAI and some other minor mods.

With those mods alone, i can at least hang out with some of the big boys now. Stock it's ok but the mods really wake this car up. The take off power is really good. that's what impresses me about this car. i raced a gt mustang and my takeoff was so more advanced that his. i beat him to the next light. He was really impressed. this was the newer GT's.

  • Depends on the size of the DP where u spike, and your N75 valve for holding boost. the DV is jus spring tuned. I have 3" ATP and 2.5" catback, I spike 20-21psi and hold 16-17

  • the apr chip flashes the ecu to get the turbo to spool more quickly and more powerfully also it gives more air/fuel ratio which in turn creates power...

  • with your so called apr 93 chip you should be peaking at least 18psi i have the 91 apr and i peak 18 and hold 16 with my hyperboost DV...... i have a 2002 jetta 1.8t

  • ey i have a 1.8t 2005 gli i have a carbonfiniro cold air intanke and a silver line muffler wut do u think i should do chip it like urs ? and were do i get that chip? site? link?

  • You get the chip from a dealership, because they have to install it and program it to your car. I just got a 93oct APR installed and a DV today, it makes a huge difference.

  • you get a chip from chip dealers or performance shops. not dealerships.

  • @VDubGLI or you can go to a DEALERSHIP and get it done...depending if they promote a company. I got my apr flash done at a local dealer.

  • how much boost psi do you have now. Like what is peak and average

  • peaks and holds 19 to about 5k then tapers to about 12-14 at redline

  • what does the apr chip actually do for the vw. i got a 1.8T and i wanna mod it. its completely stock. what should i do.

  • American & European Best Cars Ever. Learn your roll punks.

  • Euro make good cars, america? No. Fucking dick nose wop go fuck your hairy pizza sucking fat girlfriend. ginny piece of shit.

  • the only good american car is the corvette ZR1

  • nice jetta.. whos the dumbfuck who said its a rice burner?.... haha yeah it will burn ur rice ass..ill fucking enhilate you faggot rice boy talkin shit about vw..dumb herb..

  • @redlinegsxr1 sure, come race my evo

  • @ThatOneKidThatSkis show the evo??

  • its not a rice burner dumbass vw is made in germany moron

your slow ass couldnt even hang so stfu

  • i bet my vw waxes your dumbass no matter what car you're in any day of your pathetic life. german cars are anything but ricbeburners dumb fuck. think about what you say before you say and you wont look like such a dumbass anymore.

  • VW are slow too they have a lot of weight on them

  • slow ass piece of shit riceburner

  • And you have what? Dont lie hoe.

  • slow ass? well for the class its in its just about right. stock to stock it's like a honda gsr (acura). Power wise it's in the same group as a gsr and so on and it does fine in that class. I've raced one and we are pretty even. Build and class wise, the gli is superior to and gsr or most other cars in the class. Riceburner? well, if you mean that our cars will burn any rice cars, sure, our cars are rice burners. it's a beautiful car, in and out.

  • lol integra gsr can go 14.9 bone stock all out of a n/a 1.8L thats been made since 1994.....I dont see you keeping up with one unless you got "stage whatever"

  • what.. they both are in 15 secs.. stock they are both in 15.. i've seen them at the track.. some are lower, some higher, avg is 15 something.. plus the gli is heavier..

  • yeah low low 15s and some went 14.9

  • ROFL! He called the VW a riceburner!!!! HAHAHA

  • a stock gli runs 8.5 1/8 mile and i havent done a 1/4 mile yet

  • 8.5 1/8? yea right. maybe like 10.5. 8.5 in the 1/8 is like a 13.88 and a stock GLI, my friend, does not accomplish the 1/4 in that time.

  • are you talking to yourself?

  • you know, it all fucking depends on the driver when it comes to determining the 14.9 - low 15's....and who gives a fuck about dragracing, does it look like a GLI is a drag car? no, it belongs in the twisties

  • not impressive at all.

  • Whatever.

  • Hey i have an APR chip 91 octane but can you make a video of how to activate it?? i have stock and 91 octane o think i bought it USED. help me out

  • that does not sound like a open down pipe! maybe a dumped pipe after the cat and a muffler. when i hit boost in my 04 gli all you can hear is a loud shhhhhhhhhhhhh-pop-shhhhhhhhhh(me power shifting)

  • It doesn't sound good at all. I use the cutout mostly for racing. Other than that its always closed and get the same swhhhhhhh-shift shhhhhhhh-grind shift

  • i like it

  • :) :) :)

  • Sounds good

  • Thanks.

  • hey nice car.

timed it in the 1/4 yet? i'm exploring the possibility of getting an '05 Jetta, although it won't be the 1.8T.. that motor costs wayyy to much to maintain.

overall though, what do you think of the car?

  • Yeah, I have the '04 2.0L

  • 13.9@99. 2.0 60'. Had back seats and spare removed for that run.

  • is that just a manual cutout? send me a message.. im probably getting a 2005 gli looking to put one in

  • Yea. It is a manual cutout. Only problem I have with it is that it's a pain in the ass to jack my car up everytime I want to take the cover off. I recommend a quicktime performance cutout. Opens a closes with a button inside the cabin. If I could do it all over I would have gotten that.

  • do u hav any more mods now? i hav 04 GLI with a few mods but no vids yet though.

  • Nah, I actually have less mods. :( My car was a lease until a week ago when I got the title. :D More mods coming soon. + more vids.

  • i got to say that is pretty impresive man. i love the sound it makes man, freakin sweet.

  • Thanks dude.
