many people get the wrong impresion when i say "i don't like them as much live". "as much" implies i still like it, i just think the studio versions are harmonized perfectly, but then again when you're in a studio you're allowed to mess up and try again. live you only really get one chance at it. plus in a studio you have mastering, compressors, autotune,and so on. but when you try to implement that live it starts to sound fake. so i guess live, and productions are 2 different environments.

@ThomasScottCarson *Sung Tongs. Really? I'd say it's one of my favorite albums from them. I really dig the natural acoustic feel. They harmonize like no other and I think it works out fantastic live, as seen here. So much to like.  So much energy.

@eliwamo You Know when your high/drunk and you believe/think that you have an idea you have is going to be revolutionary then you come down and its really just restarted/make no scenes/pipe dream......yeah that's what this song is a bunch of guys yelling into a mic (WTF are they saying is it real words?) in rhythmic pattern into a mixer with added effects. They are like a down grade from dj's that aleast (some) program there own music and I still stand by my comment which was 2 years ago.

@avery1990 Well, i don't particularly like this version of Leaf House, but I love the version of We Tigers starting at around 5:30. I think there's merit in the lyrics, the general sound, and how those two things relate to each other. It has a kind of primal aspect in the beat and the vocals which relate back to the lyrics really nicely. That being said, this is AC at their most abrasive and I can understand why someone might not like, though I think it pretty freaking incredible.

@avery1990 obviously you seem to think that animal collective some how doesn't write music or know how to play instruments. i don't know how you were able to make such an over simplistic first impression based on a live show from a period where they used music they pre-recorded live so as to focus on the vocal drama. ac is nothing like dj's, they spend hours cosmically jamming, and discovering sounds, next time you want to make a ridiculous claim, make it about something that you understand
