Fall 2010 is the release date PS3 and PC beta testing is already going and getting its fixes and it lovely polishing the game was 40% done in 2008 it must be 95 to 100% as far as the game goes by this point in time just needs a clean up and beta testers first, odds are that Japan will be getting this game i'd say a month or 2 in advance then we do here in North America for more info just go to the website its awesome!

hey, at least the sci-fi Final Fantasy was bloody interesting and usually didn't have a cookie cutter story like most of the old themes did. A proper mix like FF6 or FF8 :Not freakishly over the top with the technology, but also not set in the dark ages of RPGs, and please for the love of god keep some of the funny in the game. I nearly got depression from the stupidity that was FFXII, Tactics was great because it fully embraced its timeline....

With the game being for PS3 and supposedly more focused on single play, I might give it a try. I do admit my experience with mmos so far has only been wow though.
When the very first Final Fantasy came out the company was near bankrupt, was barely able to release the game, and had it had minimal sales or a complete bust the company was going to shut down, hence Final Fantasy.
Umm, the futuristic themes are what made it go generic in later games, it's a breath of fresh air to see a different atmosphere. Not that I condone them making another online game.

XD Ok, technically it's played on a console, but it requires the internet. When I say "console game" what I'm referring to is a game that tells one story, that doesn't need to be played on the internet, and that doesn't require a monthly fee or whatever. I'm not ragging on this game, I'm just saying they should have separated this and 11 from the others.

i dont understand why everyone's decided to get so bent out of shape thats its an online game. the online series allows square to please those ff fans who love the Fantasy part of the series, personally the overuse of technology in ff's recently has made the series feel less like ff and more like a technology orgy for the eyes =/

hey, at least the sci-fi Final Fantasy was bloody interesting and usually didn't have a cookie cutter story like most of the old themes did. A proper mix like FF6 or FF8 :Not freakishly over the top with the technology, but also not set in the dark ages of RPGs, and please for the love of god keep some of the funny in the game. I nearly got depression from the stupidity that was FFXII, Tactics was great because it fully embraced its timeline....

With the game being for PS3 and supposedly more focused on single play, I might give it a try. I do admit my experience with mmos so far has only been wow though.

When the very first Final Fantasy came out the company was near bankrupt, was barely able to release the game, and had it had minimal sales or a complete bust the company was going to shut down, hence Final Fantasy.

Umm, the futuristic themes are what made it go generic in later games, it's a breath of fresh air to see a different atmosphere. Not that I condone them making another online game.

this game WILL be good ^^ its not out yet it will be release 2010 if you have seen? :P all the final fantasy games i have played was very good and this seems to be even better, just remeber to buy a keyboard for you going to buy a PS3 i'm pretty sure its required

you only control 1 character at a time so its still not a step forward.... Tabula Rasa was a step forward, POTBS was a step forward.... to bad they misstepped in every other category or those games would still be around.
