  • hey how is the sound on the highway? is it too loud for long trips? does it sound pretty much like its straight piped or what?

  • @manuelmolina18 No, no that loud. Higher gears and at lower RPM's this exhaust is fine. It is loud when you want it to be though. It has a sound dampener that you can take out though, i have mine in and never heard it without.

  • how much is that

  • I love my tiger 800 but there's just something about this bike! Thumbs up if I should trade in for an R6? :p

  • @JonnyGunReyes Definetly R6, but then again, if you can afford it, get the R1 i'd say :p

  • i want to see this doing fly by.

  • yeah baby make me horny...

  • sweet mother of god. i want it

  • thing sounds great as compared to other megaphones. Not a gawky loud. whats the size where the pipe bolts to the head pipe???? 1 3/4??

  • when i asked for the price...i shat bricks

  • So I got the same bike and exhaust now. And I was wondering: when revving it in neutral like the video. Does it also spit little drops of fuel or some liquid? Some of them land on the swingarm too... Is this normal?

    (Bikes at 72°celsius)

  • @Thomazz46 water gets in exhaust when it sits.

  • @dudenpm Isn't there supposed to be a drain hole with these kind of exhausts? I'll have to check mine then...

  • @Thomazz46 dont think so but im not a engineer. seems like a drain hole would let exhaust leak out too. making alot extra noise.

  • @dudenpm I know of a few other Megaphone exhausts that have a drain hole.

  • Just bought the exact same bike, same exhaust. It's a lot louder in person! :D

Picking it up this week, so pumped!

  • Sick vid quality, sick bike, ride safe

  • wooo :D

  • At least these bike is refined and do not sound like duchekati !

  • at first i thought its a still image...nice quality vdo man!!!

  • NOOO!! 30 secs isn't enough :( i want to hear more!!

  • Never ceases to amaze me how a 600cc go-fast bike motor can rev up quickly then drop revs quickly. Only in Japan can they build technological marvels like that.

  • r6 probably the best bike out of all 600s out there and black version i think is the sexiest then red really clean bike bro

  • show us a night vid

looks like it would shoot flames :D

  • due to the fact that these arent street legal if u have an accident and u want to clain will the insurance companies not pay up?

  • @xxdominatorzz I've looked in to buying one for my Graphite R6 08. they do have a removable baffle insert, which when inserted makes it street legal... Here in the UK anyway!

  • omiljeni auspuh od akrapa na najdrazem r-u savrseno

  • how much do you want? ;D

  • soo lol can you hold to people on it..??

  • for once an clip with great sound ,nice bike

  • I never get tired of watching this video !

  • akra makes a megaphone. i dont think they do man. but i dont know get a close up of that thing.

  • how many horse power did you lose putting this exhaust on...???

  • i sold my R1, next year when i dont get raped with insurance im going to get an R6

  • @audiocable

good choice, 600 alll u need anyway....i jus bought my r6..havin hard time taking off stock fender lol

  • @bgai3 its bolted underneath the rear fairing, u have to take the fairing off before you can take the fender off.

  • sounds very good :)

  • so r u saying redlineing in nutural doesnt hurt it? or it doesnt hurt it period? i know in the manual it says dont redline it thats why there is also a shift light but im just a manual reader i could be wrong...let me know?

  • Comment removed

  • Yamaha r6's have an ex-up valve inside the muffler that is controlled by the ecu so changing the exhaust and cat/headers changes the the whole harmonics of the exhaust gas so since the stock ecu cant be tuned by flicking a switch thats y you get a powercommander zx-6'r and fireblade even dayton 675 all have these exup valves somewhere in the exhaust system educate before you ramble about nothing

  • @phjunkie

What the hell are you talking about? Getting a pc3 to make up for a loss of back pressure- No, you get a pc3 in order to make more power from a full exhaust system. You are not going to burn up any valves from running a slip-on PERIOD

No-one listen to a thing this guy is saying, he is filled with misinformation.

  • mya favorite bike!!!!....my favorite color and akrapovic!!!...the best set!

  • i love this bike... and his sound!

  • orgasm to my ears,

  • its called an eargasm

  • Troppooooooooooooooooooo bellaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! =) Very Beatifull

  • did you take off the cat yet cause that still sounds stock, i got the all black 08 and removed the cat and did the hotbodies slash cut and added the power commander to make up for the loss in back pressure and that shit sounds gooodddd. your shit will wound sick with a midpipe and a power commander, check out my vid of my drive with my set up its under 08 r6 + hotbodies and its the vid with the trees in the backround thats like 1:15 long

  • well i just got that pipe from a friend but there is no baffle so what about the back pressure? is that bad?

  • well its not the pipe itself thats gonna make it lose the back pressure it would be the midpipe that replaces the catalytic converter that would cause it to lose backpressure. you would lose power but also you will notice that when your driving there will be alot of backfiring which will eventually burn up the valves, so if you get the power commander 3 it will make up for the loss of back pressure

  • . but you will need to get the power commander custom mapped because the pre loaded map settings are for the big name pipes like yoshi, and two brothers so you will still get backfiring untill you get a shop that has the machine to custom map the poqwer commander

  • right, i just slipped the pipe on and got rid of the cables to the butterfly valve and thats it. the pipe didn't come with a baffle so thats why i was wondering if its bad for the engine. im not messing with the cat, i think it sounds pretty awesome.

  • also with the cost of the midpipe and the power commander it will probably be a little bit less than buying just a slip on from 2 brothers, but just to prewarn you if you do the midpipe that replaces the cat it is permanent because you must saw off the cat from the headers so just make sure thats what you want before you do it. and installing the midpipe takes about 2 1/2 hours from start to finish but the results are amazing and its loud as fuck

  • @phjunkie19 yeah i was looking into that but next year for sure lol well thanks alot for the info bud.

  • you have my dream bike. I cant find that raven anywhere in town for 5k

  • which model year?

  • look at the title..

  • ah yes. thx

  • the video is titled 2006 r6

  • 20060 -,- in the discription you could read it

  • amazing sound :)

  • do you still have stock mid pipe on her?

  • ill trade u my 2006 black r1 tail and subframe for yours...ill evan throw some money in!!!

  • cool bike sounds sicc

  • fuckin cool man

  • no me gusta le da el calor directo al basculante fijaros

  • DAYAMN!!! Nice bike

  • hly fuck !

    Love that sound :)

  • I had an 07 R6 and it sounded virtually the same when I put a Yoshi slip-on on it. I've heard them with full exhausts and they sound amazing!!!! On the other hand I ride an 04 GSXR 750 and when I put my D and D bolt-on on it completely opened up the sound of the bike, but the stock can was huge unlike the R6's stock can.

  • how much does it cost?

  • 7.000-16.000 €.it is made in Slovenija

  • its 1000euro - 7000 euro

  • yummy

  • Cool; I actually just found your installation guide on rspeed via the R6 forum after watching this vid. Question: I'm a bit concerned about trying anything new. Working on it gives me a nervous feeling and just keeping most of it stock is going to be my plan, but I'd like to get a better sound out of it. If I wanted to go to a shop to get a new mid pipe put in, would it be worth it or do you think a slip/bolt on is satisfying enough?

  • How come you don't upgrade to the hexagonal slip on or full system from Akra?

  • huge house in the background

  • that shape of R6 in my opinion is absolutely beautiful, looks mean in black! and with possibly the best make of exhaust! lucky man!!!

  • is very cool

  • cock

  • Absolutely untrue. Black smoke indicates carbon which is a sign of the engine running rich. The richness results from overfueling due to O2 sensor metering fuel rather than engine management like a Power Commander.

Secondly, hitting the rev limiter doesn't do anything to the engine, that's why it's there. There is ignition and fuel cutoff, should the engine ever pass the redline point.

None of this damages the engine.

  • Yeah, rlclark50 is pretty spot-on there. It's really not that big of a deal. Besides, those japanese bikes are built for abuse. It'd take a lot more than bouncing the revs once to do anything to that engine. In terms of Yamaha vs Honda, they're pretty much the same cookie cutter bikes. :) hehe. Try going Italian. ;)

  • Cookie cutter, maybe? Faster than italian bikes, no doubt ;)

  • i know they tested the GSXR1000 k9 held it on the redline down the autobahn and it seized well after 30 miles so these engines are built to last

  • akrapovic is from slovenia .........i'm so proude...xD

  • i'm too

    i ja isto :P;-)

  • nice sound and a nice looking bike

  • very nice sound.

  • Thanks! The dealer just called and Iam off to pick up my R6 {yellow & black}. I hope to get it home before the rain comes. Good luck and thanks for your help.

  • Thanks for the quick reply. How long has you pipe been on? I might buy one today.

  • I've had it on for like two years now :)

  • Iam thinking of getting this pipe for my 08. Do you think that the exhaust heat will screw up the paint on the swing arm?

    Thanks.

  • Nah shouldn't bother it at all.

  • @technoticmedia Im kinda shocked at how this sounds.. I had an 04 r6 with the round carbon fiber Akrapovic and mine sounded meatier than this one does... could just be the camera though. Still the same tone of sound though. Nice r6 btw :)

  • @TheDarkDrums thats because the new r6s have catalyticic converters on which kill the sound he should get a full system

  • @bigfatbutts its powder coated paint so there would be no way that exhaust temps with bother it

  • im 5'8, is this bike to tall for me? ive sat on the GSXR600 and can touch flat foot, but damn i love R6's.

  • naa ur good man... im 5'8 n touch flat footed on all of'em

  • Beautuful...

  • SWEEEEEEEEEET!!!! OMG I LOVE IT.

  • jealous....!!

  • Yet another one of youTube's wonderful users...

  • shit that thing is BADASS

  • Not bad but try a termignoni.

  • term's are def the best!

  • sweet

  • troppo bella sta r6! complimenti !!!

  • Im 6'1ft, This bike is small for me?

  • Nah. I'm 6'0" and while I might look big when I ride it. It's not bad to ride at all.

  • i sat on one a while back, i thought that the footpegs were very high, so i thought if you were a bit taller it'd get uncomfortable, i'm 5'9'' ish, and own a R125 lol i want a r6 or r1 when i pass my test. peace.

  • hey man i dont know my height in inches its 192cm which is 6"2 or something and i ride a ninja zx-6r and im cool .. not feeling uncomfy at all

    cheers

  • I'm 6'4" And this bike isn't at all too small for me...it's the tallest 600 on the market

  • lovely =)

  • i love akrapovich

  • that is best sound ever!!

  • thats nice bike love that sound!

  • AAAAAAA

    Dämmmm !!!

    Akrapovic :-)

  • hey bro can u tell me how to gauge how much gas is left on the bike without the gas light turning on.

  • I don't know haha. Just open the tank and shake it around haha

  • lmao haha thanks

  • It's a requirement for track days. Check out my other video from Mid Ohio Speedway.

  • Silly boys dont you know that experienced older riders can spot newbies by matching outfits! If you want respect w/ riders do not match - so it looks like you've riden other bikes before. Matching gear on a rice bike is the same as an accountant or CEO riding fresh HD gift shop leather on a stock Harley.

  • hahahaha well said!

All black leathers for me no matter what bike ;)

  • says casey stoner!!!

  • ok so im 17 and im gettin my first bike soon and its going to be a yamaha r125. could i fit a megaphone exhaust onto it? and if so would it make it sound better? because 125 usualy dont dound all that nice. thanks ben

  • plz don't post so stupid comments....plz....

  • Get an kawasaki ninja 250r instead, sounds better.

  • your stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour stupidyour your stupid

  • I was kiding dude, chill

  • and soon after you'll crash on a wall...

  • What a pity xD

  • if you get a gixxer thou, i would seriously say good luck living for a year after. I bought an R6 as my first bike, and i wont lie...IT HAS A SHIT TON OF POWER. A 600 is more than enough for a first bike. I didnt think it would be too powerful. after getting on it, its a lot of fucking power.

  • i dont ride but my dad does so i know a fair amount. dont go improving a little 125 save your money get a bigger bike when you can fly (aprillas are good intermidiets or and r6) and get some cans for that

  • I have a cbr 125 with open exhaust (Thunder). They don't sound bad at all. Yamaha r125 would sound the same as a cbr assuming it's a 4-stroke 1-cil.

  • dont get something small...get a 4 banger. the single cyl sounds like a damn dirtbike, and the 2-cyl doesnt sound too great either.

and IF you get the 1 or 2-cyl bike, it wont have this sound even if you do put the exhaust on there.

  • Agree, thumbs up.

  • sweet thats what my bike sounds like

  • Cold start, high revs then immediate engine shutdown? Good idea, genius.

  • lmao nice one. the bike was warmed up before the video even started. thanks for the concern with my bike though ;) she held up fine all over the track.

  • assuming what you say is a fact? genius

  • I love the swingarm of the R6

  • yeah it looks sick

  • I love the color but i'm trying to think what leathers would look good with it. All black, or red, white, and black? Help me out here guys. Thanx

  • Always all black or all white, always!

  • ive got the R6 50th Ann (yellow/black) and wore an all black leather Joe Rocket. after about a year and 1/2 of seeing myself with a yellow/black helmet, yellow/black bike and BLACK leather jacket, i got tired of it. so i got me a yellow/black Alpinestars mesh jacket, and im very happy with the new look. runs all the colors together, i show up better, and the ladies noticed the new look too :)

  • I like this race motos with F1 sound...

  • wow...sounds nice...!!

  • sounds good. Does it still have the cat converter?

  • In this video, yes, but in my other ones, no since I replaced it with a mid pipe

  • no matter what bike you ride DUCATI 1098 is the best there is and the best there ever be the rest is just another 2 wheels

  • lmao

  • well you gotta admit it im rite you cant deny it anyway i own a ducati 1098 so i know :)

  • heh, i would like to make my r6 a track only bike and pick up one of the 848's in white ;)

  • dude just get a ducati 1098 solve ur prob it is a kick ass bike that bike can even beat a Lamborghini gallardo hands down and that is a proven fact there is a video here in youtube about that

  • i ride with a friend who has a yellow 1098. It's definitely a great bike, but for 600cc class, I'm going to stick with my r6 for now.

  • dude, how can you compare a 600 with a 1098?

yea the 1098 is a great bike, but why will it solve my probs? i would rater get a R1 or a R6 then the 1098!

  • ok, any 1000, gixxer, ZX10, R1, CBR1000RR would take a Duc, and i hate the dry clutch, sounds like its falling apart.. i just dont like twins since i had bad luck with my SV1K

  • LOL, wow. Sigh, a duc 1098 would take any of those bikes hands down, sorry.

  • try again retard, ya the duc is very nice, but if you want to get the fastest bike you can without sacrificing cornering (like a busa or ZX14), stick with what i posted before. A duc cannot beat a new R1 or CBR1000 or ZX-10 or gixxer 1000.

  • Wow, The 'r' version of the duc 1098 is 364lbs. The new cbr1000rr (IMO is the best new liter bike), which is the lightest out of any of the brand new liters is 435lbs. The 1098 is 71Lbs lighter then any of the liters. The 1098r produces 180hp, while the cbr produces 178hp (claimed). Speaking of 'cornering' the duc has Ohlins suspension which is better then any of the liter bikes. Plus it comes stock w/ brembo breaks, ss break lines, traction control etc... In other words yes... it can beat them

  • woah woah woah... the Ducati R is also 40,000 dollars, you cannot sit here and say wel if you buy the 40K version, its a lot better, no shit dumbass. i wouldnt waste 40 grand. It is 364lbs, dry, no battery, gas, oil, etc.. and check the specs again, the new 1000RR is 438lbs CURB WEIGHT, meaning ready 2 ride. your lookin at 40lb differnce at the most, and a 30K price difference. u can spend 5K and make the 1000RR alot better than wasting 40K on a bike.

  • This is like comparing a C6 Vette to an enzo. The C6 is not 2 far behind, at all, but only spend 10K and have a better, faster car and save 900K.

  • What kind of bike lover can say something like that for a Ducati? Pure power man, pure power...
