He's well aware that everyone has taken this song as an "ex-girlfriend" joint and says that he doesn't mind the misunderstanding, since music is always free for interpretation. I noticed that it's mainly people that haven't followed hip-hop that have seen it that way. Anyone that's been around during it's metamorphosis usually catch it.
