i bought matte version, if you buy glossy from the "look" rather than real comparison, i have used glossy version outside the house, it sucks, thats why i got matte version, its key diffrence, i think it looks even more professional than the glossy version

I'm so sick of all this "I'm a Mac" and "I'm a PC" crap! Honestly, they both have their ups and downs. Mac OS has a wonderful video editing program, and Windows has great picture editing programs. They are both susceptible to viruses, no matter what people say. And they are both used for business, education, etc. So why does anyone care if people like Macs or PC's more? I have a Mac, but I still like PCs. It's called opinion.

@TheKylud The new unibody macbook pros came in the late 2008. It had user replaceable battery and hard drive. Later around the mid 2009 are the 17 inch models, and moved the basic metal macbook up toward the pro brothers while bringing back the plastic macbook. I also think they added an sd card and firewire. In the late 2009, they released the macbook (plastic) unibody version. And in the early 2010, they released the current macbook pros and macbook plastic with newer processors and graphics.

NOTE: They in do in-fact give you a matt screen option - only draw back is you cant keep the black border - it is replaced with a silver one.

New ones are expected to be released soon but how would u know how many buttons the new macbooks have?

There hasn't been a single MacBook with more than 1 physical mouse button in the past. I doubt there will be one in the future.

the new body is way better BUT they took away one of the firewire ports but for basic use people should be fine and you can get a different screen the antiglare is only available on the 17 inch i think it's like $50 or it might be free upgrade but i personally like the glossy

I'm keeping my 2007 Macbook Pro. I see no reason to pay all that money just for the newer design. Software still runs no better on the newer one. It's 2010, and my 2007 version is still running like the first day I bought it. For what I do, this one works just fine.

I'm confused. you said that the new Macbook Pros do not come in matte. However I would like to inform you that they do! I have a Macbook Pro that is MATTE. It lacks the characteristic black "frame" with glossy screen. But that doesn't effect the color, resolution, quality, and even the blacks are nice and deep. other than that I upped the ram for my Graphic Design occupation.

Nope its a 2009 Macbook Pro, unibody design. I ordered it to be matte because I hate the glossy screen. you CAN order them matte. but they don't come standard. if not then I just got lucky.

The matte option wasn't available when the Unibody MacBook pro was first released.  It became available in June 2009.
