  • Sounds just like my VA grandparents. Love it.

  • I was born and live in Richmond and every person over the age of 60 who's lived in VA their whole life talks like this. If you listen closely I think every Virginian has a bit of this left in them. @dvsthientai I saw Firginia too:)

  • My aunt Mary Well sounded very much like this, not as strong. Born in Hampton, VA. You I was born in Hampton too, I always said Firginia!

  • Your grandmother was a very beautiful southern belle.

  • @KC1971J thank you.

  • its good to hear a real virginian talk again..

  • i hate it to...in southern va we still have accents...its those damn yankkees who keep moving down to the south..

  • My Great Aunt sounds just like your Grandma she was born and raised in Northern Virginia though.

  • I believe it. I grew up in northern virginia myself.

  • I was born in Richmond (MCV Hospital) in 1963. My Grandparents raised me in Goochland County (Crozier). My grandparents had this accent. I hate to see the accent die.
