  • Did anyone just laugh their asses off when he started shaking it?

  • My Dad was behind bars for twenty years. Heck of a bartender he was

  • hes doing some dragon ball z shit with the shaking

  • Loving ya work! Check out our cocktail Channel - Just started up 3 days ago!

  • Fresh ICE?ya that's retarded........

  • your meant to get the salt only just on the rim of the glass, it looks more elegant

  • what is an ounce in milliletres?

  • 1. Margarita should be served in a cocktail glass with salt only on the edge and not only on one side.

    2. The official ratio is 7:4:3 (tequila, triple sec, lime juice),no sugar!!

    3. No ice in the glass. Optional, 1 cube of ice, symbolicly.

    4. Follow these rules and you will have a perfect, original Margarita

  • @cimbru15 the goal is to make a tasty cocktail not "original"

  • everyone who thinks the shaking is just him being retarded - look up "hard shake eben freeman."

not retarded. well, looks silly. but purposeful.

  • He had me on 3:00 lmao!!

  • WHY DO PEOPLE DISLIKE UR VIDS

  • THAT SHAKING WAS MAD REAL RETARDED

  • 100 points for flair

  • I thought this was a serious presentation; somewhat snobby. And then came the shaking of the drink.

  • 2:12 hes pouring quantro 2:14 hes suddenly holding the tequila :o i didnt know he was a magician aswell xD

  • @Jazzxx saw that....wtf.....lol

  • that shaking was hilarious

  • after adding cointreau, he caps and puts down the tequila ?

  • I busted out laughing at the shake but the rita look tasty

  • Rofl at 3:00 !

  • That shaking was fucking hilarious and worth my time.

  • this motherfucker uses sugar on every fucking drink

  • @jimmy12267 hes using salt...

  • @xELITExUKx and sugar

  • @IrateGamingZealot he says you can use shugar but he only coats half the glass....

  • @xELITExUKx I think you're misunderstanding. He coats the glass with salt, but he adds sugar to the drink before shaking.

  • Everyone claiming that a margarita should be served in a martini glass and acting like know it alls should be informed that it is a Coupe glass (aka a margarita glass) not a martini glass that's typically used for this drink. And martini glasses should really be called Cocktail glasses. And it's perfectly fine to serve it in a regular glass, in my opinion.

  • @taang101 This.

  • total fail

  • you're shiutting me right margarita is at a martini glass!

  • loved the shaking-m gonna do that too!

  • and who are these retards who keep saying ice ice ice???? stop whining-jeez its not on the rocks

  • see when you know a lot you are more open to variations-thats the difference between novices and experts. this chap is an expert. thanks for the video. please keep making them.

  • so what does the salt do to the margarita?

  • you never ever put ice in the margarita and that isnt the right glass for it also the original recipe for the margarita has no sugar

  • you say tequila reposado not the other way around

  • Ahahahaahahaha! WTF????? That is completely wrong! Where is the Martini Glass???? The Glass should be cold (from the fridge) and double strain into the glass! No ice in the glass!!! Crazy...

  • @SigFaus Um idk where the fuck you are getting drinks from but bars and restaurants put drinks on ice unless it's a straight shot or a shooter(mixed shot drink). Ice makes it look like the drink is bigger without having to lose more liquor ie more profit.

  • @SigFaus Mixologist Eben Freeman, of Tailor restaurant in New York City, demonstrates how to prepare a variation on the classic Margarita cocktail.

  • I wonder if he goes home and practices on a Shake Weight....

  • That reposado makes the diference, you are right, this one is the best margarita....

  • -SHAKE SHAKE SHAKES HAKE SHAKE-

"you dont need to shake that as much as you would in a straight up drink.."

    You dont say..?

  • Notice how much tequila drops he wasted along the way...

    That is criminal.

  • Herradura Reposado, yumm!

  • the shaking was retared.....löl

  • @deevehje AHAHAH he looked like he was being possessed or something. just sayin

  • @deevehje Hilarious!!

  • That shaking looked so awkward...

almost like he was getting a boner or something...

  • should have used coupe glass rather than an old fashioned glass

  • and what about that glass, use the margarita glass,jesus....

  • 3:00 What the fuck is that insane man doing? lol

  • It tastes better with a crashed ice

  • @aizik2005 its not everyday that the ice delivery truck crashes, so usually the bartender can't get crashed ice sonthey have to settle for crushed ice.

  • Anyone notice after adding the cointreau it shows him putting the wrong bottle back (tequila)? Silly.

  • Eben is such a great molecular mixologist.

  • 1 drink = 12.50

  • I doubt i could get an actual Jager Bomb at the bar this guy works at.

  • This is wrong....charlie sheen in two and a half man makes margaritas in different way! This should be green and with malibu coconut rum!

  • i know i'll receive loads of hate from purists but try it with using the juice from 1/2 ripe lemon rather than lime. And a tiny bit of sugar. much more rounded, less edgy. i find lemon less aggressive than lime

  • just consantrate shaking he looks like somebody who find a pink pussy

  • this vid is wrong!!! how much tequila he adds?? LOL

AND IS SO FUNNY HOW HE SHAKE!!!!

  • this vid is wrong!!! how much tequila he adds?? LOL

  • I am not a mixologist or anything but do love my margaritas and have experimented a lot with them. The reason why he uses sugar than the standard (IBA) recipe is because he is using proportionally less cointreau and more lime juice, so he has to balance the sweet and the sour in the drink.

About the glass, I prefer an old fashioned glass than margarita glasses. I am not sure what is the problem with it as this is basically a version of a "tequila sour."

  • HAHA, at 2:15 , he has the wrong bottle in his hands...

  • finally some nicer presentation, but is not the glass wider normally ? It looks like a lot of salt, that much could make me puke

  • I hate putting sugar instead of syrup......

  • how is it possible to use 4 minutes to explain how to make a margarita

  • Here at Chico state we call it study juice :)

  • Thank you Eben, excellent presentation.

  • oh god..... oh god.....EPIC SHAKEEEEEEEE

  • This is a fine recipe for a margarita. I'd suggest using agave nectar instead of sugar because it dissolves easier and matches the agave notes of the tequila better. Otherwise, this is better than 99% of the other margaritas I see made in restaurants or bars.

  • Why he isn't using a Margarita glass?!

  • @spideyninja Because margarita glasses are for morons. Notice how most margarita glasses are between 10-14 oz in capacity. Also notice how his recipe has about 3.5 oz of total ingredients (plus about half an ounce of water added through shaking). It would barely reach the "bowl" of the margarita glass. Quite simply, a margarita glass filled to the brim (like you'd find in a restaurant) is undoubtedly made incorrectly with low quality ingredients (like boat loads of sour mix). Cheers.

  • @JungleLarry mate how comes a margarita glass is 10 oz? It should be a really huge glass, its almost 300ml.

Regular margarita glasses are 5-7 oz as I saw in life and media. The bowl is same as a shot glass, I believe 2 oz, and then the crown maybe other 4 oz.

But the main idea is that the glass was made for the cocktail :)

  • love it, but it should be in hd. Its just better experience :D

  • "you don't need to shake that as much as you would in a straight up drink...."

that was a light shaking? hahahahaha. I'd hate to see what a vigorous shake would look like!

  • you suck buttttttttttt

  • Comment removed

  • These only cost 8-15 dollars at most bars and restraunts. Mixed drinks and even beers at restraunts are incredibly expensive. You may think oh its easier to get drunk at a bar instead of buying a 30 dollar bottle. Well its not,by the time most people buy enough drinks to get drunk it is well past 30 dollars.

  • @PBRMafia Yep, the error of proportional misrepresentation.

  • Is that his signature shaking move? sorry but i had to lough abouth that.

  • @aiqinwen Didnt say it was bad. It was just, different, and a bit odd.

  • shake and rock.....then, shake and rock some more!!!! I love my vest!

  • The original triple sec? How much did cointreau pay you for this??? honestly??? margarita=twist on a daisy=orange curazao=replacement to orange curazao=triple sec as a sweetener, not as a overpowering liqueur... wtf...thats why that recipe doesnt work.... try 1oz tequila, 1oz STANDARD triple SEc, 1oz Fresh LEMON JUICE... the triple sec in that recipe works as a sweetener... thats all, if you use it that way, you dont need sugar to that drink.. talk to David Wondrich about it.... ;)

  • yah, datz weird.

  • I remember reading that the Margarita was named after the actress Rita Hayworth, As a teenager, Margarita Cansino ( Rita Hayworth) worked as a dancer, with her father, at the Foreign Club, in Tijuana, where she supposedly inspired a bartender. If this story is true then i understand how the bartener was so inspired. Rita is jaw-dropping beauitful!!!

  • Weird ass shaking man...

  • I like replaying the shaking part

  • Thats the strangest shake ive ever seen in 15+ years.

  • @ParisTK because u r 16 years old! his shake is gud

  • why does he shake it like that?:-s it looks weird...

  • @MichaelJhoan rofl. so true

  • Eben and the legendary shake :)

  • lol @ continuation

  • he takes the cointreau and put back the taquila XD

  • Love the shaking man!

  • shitty with....jose cuervo tequila, bols triple sec, squeezed orange juice and no sugar....

  • @futbolaholic3 what are you talking about ?

  • @Zolkz1Zneew i tried making this with those ingredients in my previous post, and it tasted really bad.

  • @futbolaholic3 okay.. so what ingredients are you using then? I mean this is pretty much the basic recipe

  • Hmm makes me wanna have a Margarita

  • Thank's that was very good

  • crusta & cukier rządzą PANIE "barmanie" . . . no i to szkło . . . żenada . . . zajebisty szejker chłopaku . . . czad

  • he really knows how to (SHAKE) things up! *point intened*

  • This guy is weird as fuck.

  • Did anyone noticed that he took Cointreau at 2.07 and at 2:17 he put back the tequila? Mr Eban Freeman what is the basic rule for manipulating the ice in front of the customer? Use only ice tongs...

  • @mrfmd88

    I did. Hmmm....

  • @mrfmd88 Eben Freeman is a fantastic bartender and the hiccup to which you refer is clearly a video editing error. No fault on his part.

  • @mrfmd88 well there is no customer :/

  • @mrfmd88 english isn't my 1st language so what does that mean only using ice tongs? thank you

  • @olhaque ice tongs is a special tool that is used for manipulating ice.it can be plastic, metal, whatever.the points is that this video is filmed in a fancy location.so , if you focus on classic mixology as mr Freeman is doing you don`t put ice with an ice scoop. That is just my opinion.cheers ^^

  • @mrfmd88 thank you

  • @mrfmd88 what do you mean? what do you mean by manipulate the ice?

  • @mrfmd88 Ice scoops are easier to manage when you're in a bar and have like a zillion orders to take care of.

  • it incredible that put sugar to the margarita .... at less that he say "its my own version of a margarita or in this bar we prepared the margarita of this way ...

the other videos excelent ... this .... mmmm ... so so

  • how much for one there ?

  • 3:00 jajajajajajaja

  • Nice. :)

  • There's no better drink than a good margarita. Thanks for the video ;-)

  • nice shake

  • fk ads.

  • BTW, nice shake....does it come w/ fries? ;-)

  • This is a nice recipe and I'll add this vid to my faves. My grandmother is named Margarita and will always remember her by this drink.

  • make sure when you make a video you do it good you pour in cointreau and then put the lid on tequilla.

  • 2:14 he use the cointreau but he put on the rable the tequila XD

  • @darowino94 saw that too lol

  • @darowino94 You have Eagle eyes! I didnt noticed that.

  • Oh man, you pour cointreau but in the sequence you close the tequila bottle? It's magic!

  • Great vid! Nice shake too with passion.....lol you deserve a good tip.

  • nice shake,i can see he is a pro lol

  • Oh, yeah. I'm trying this. Thanks, Mr. Freeman.

  • Introducing the seisure-shake!

  • @Fullblaster Japanese Hardshake. He just didn't do it for as long as one normally would because, as he said, he didn't need to chill the drink as much seeing as it would be on ice.

  • nice!!!!

  • Hoooow proooooffeeessssiiiooonnnnal! Two thumbs up!

  • lovin' the shake!

  • You can really see the passion and the care he puts into what he does. Good Job! One of the best i've ever seen.

  • Interesting. half salt.

  • AWESOME SHAKE MAAAN!!!!

  • I saw a recepie on food network and the chef pur grapefruit juice on the mix. Is that a good thing to add? I can't drink cuz I'm on meds but my friends can and I dont wanna give them just pink lemonade. :D

  • "More Tequila then most people use" I like this guys style already.

  • LOL !

  • i like the way the cointrau magically turns into tequila at 2:12!!!

  • Comment removed

  • 5 STARS FOR THE SHAKE !

  • he shakes like a robot!! :p

  • not much of a drinker but really like this comprehensive demonstration/explanation, like people who really know their stuff

  • He used Tequila again instead of Cointreau!!! OH MY GOODNESS??

  • @gummycheek No he didn't...it was a cut..have a look again :)

  • @gummycheek watch again carefully...

  • i'm sure he's pissed-listen to him talk

  • notice when he adds the contreau he puts down the tequila bottle-did i miss something?

  • love your videos! =)

  • So he's a mixologist not a bartender?

  • @velozeric

a mixologist is like a chef and a bartender is like a cook. a mixologist understands the science behind mixing (why do we always use lemon juice with sugar? shaken vs stirred? the proper technique of muddling? and some history of cocktails)

  • @sarsattacks Damm i didn't even know that they were so technical on making drinks. thanks for the answer. :D

  • I use agave nectar.

Healthier, lower in sugar level and clean taste.

  • what a douche

  • this shit suckes !!

  • I love how he sways back and forth even after he´s done shaking the drink. Lol!

  • drinking margarita right now. feels good

  • good vid bro, looks tasty

  • this guy is a GENIUS!

  • He shakes it like playing the violin or smth))

  • I keep coming back to this video just to see the shake

  • lmfao how he shakes the drink. By the way well made video i like it.

  • less crused ice,and faster my man,i bored

  • That's one hell of a shake, bros!!!

  • When he is pours the 1/2 oz jigger of Cointreau into the shaker the bottle is in his right hand and magically switches to his left hand and turns into the Herruda Tequila. Watch from 2:12 to 2:15. BLOOPER!!!

  • @elmagnificodep errm... maybe he just put down the 1/2 oz thingy down den switched hands and used his right hand to get the bottle cap cause its more convenient?

  • @KIVAlien It is a different bottle. They obviously edited the video wrong. I think it is funny. Why don't you read the full comment before replying to one?

  • pro shake..

  • SHAKE ME LİKE THAT!!!

  • This guy knows his shit

  • Wow... Herradura Reposado, Cointreau and fresh lime juice... truly a top-shelf margarita
