Anybody have any suggestions for preventing my hands from trembling? It happens when I'm stone cold bluffing or have the nuts. No, Caro says what many people interpret as nervousness is actually the release of adrenaline players get when they complete a big hand (shaking hands, etc).
As far as splashing the pot if you remember that hand in WSOP the quad aces vs royal flush the guy with the quad aces splashed his chips. Now I understand he was unlucky as he was up against a royal flush - point is he wasn't bluffing, he thought he had the best hand (after all who wouldn't think quad aces is the best hand?) Daniel said when someone splashes chips they are bluffing but in the case I describes this guy splashed chips with quad aces (even though he lost)
He's also giving us tips how to prevent giving tels. I never splash chips no matter what. If you're in a hand and someone askes you how the whether is you can remain silent.
obviously people know this things and double bluff... you know things that make you look weak and try to use them when you are strong to pretend you are not, and other way around.. mostly touching your chips before your go when you are weak.. come on, who never used that one as a fake tell!
I agree with daniel on all of them, however number 4 can work both ways. there's people who sometimes are weak and grab their chips early because they don't want you to bet. it is very common when playing agasint very inexperienced players. But again, you can also find people who really do it unconcious, this is where they are really strong and are very desperate to bet. Another tell is whenever opponents grab the chips with most value. this represents a strong hand.
So, next time I want to bluff Daniel Negreanu, I'm gonna stare at my chips and grab them as soon as the flop comes, putting them gently in the pot quietly talking about what's the weather like.

No, Caro says what many people interpret as nervousness is actually the release of adrenaline players get when they complete a big hand (shaking hands, etc).
nervousness still indicates that you're nervous.

As far as splashing the pot if you remember that hand in WSOP the quad aces vs royal flush the guy with the quad aces splashed his chips. Now I understand he was unlucky as he was up against a royal flush - point is he wasn't bluffing, he thought he had the best hand (after all who wouldn't think quad aces is the best hand?) Daniel said when someone splashes chips they are bluffing but in the case I describes this guy splashed chips with quad aces (even though he lost)

I agree with daniel on all of them, however number 4 can work both ways. there's people who sometimes are weak and grab their chips early because they don't want you to bet. it is very common when playing agasint very inexperienced players. But again, you can also find people who really do it unconcious, this is where they are really strong and are very desperate to bet. Another tell is whenever opponents grab the chips with most value. this represents a strong hand.
