There's only 1 way for zarcon to beat voltron (aside from the witch putting another spell on him) and that is by building his own indestructible voltron type of robot. The only way for voltron to get rid of zarcon is by travelingto the planet doom and killing zarcon.

according to the wikipedia entry on voltron, zarkon is a ruler of the drule empire. whether this is simply the name of the empire, or the people itself seems uncertain.

I LOVED this show as a kid! Only prob with this show is that the suits they wore didn't match the lions, lol. Great stuff, whatever did happen to Sven anyway? I also liked the badguys, Zarkon and that general of his ruled!

Sven got into a little scrap with the witch Hagar and she put some kind of spell on him and at the end of the episode, Sven was leaving to recover....But they never said where. Next thing you know the princess was rocking pink duds in Blue Lion.

yeah, when I was a kid i loved this to pieces and didn't notice all the little flaws here and there, except for the fact that the pilots didn't wear uniforms that matched their lions (shouldn't the Lance wear red since he's red lion's pilot and Kieth wear black since he pilots black lion? And don't get me started on Princess Allura's pink number, lol)
