Yugoslavia doesn't have Indians or Inuit..The Quebec separatists take it for granted that they can separate without first negotiating with these people...a winning referendum vote would have nothing to do with indigenous people in the province as they don't apply to the question and have been under federal jurisdiction since the creation of the country..and even that jurisdiction is inapplicable to them,as well as their lands.

jocepe96: I disagree with you on a couple of points. Firstly, regardless of what you say, there is definintely anti-english (the english language, not England) sentiment in Quebec legislated under the guise of protecting the french language and culture. Secondly, although Ireland is an EU country, some degree of control is given to Brussels in regards to issues such as economic policy. Does this relationship not already exist between Canada and its provinces?

Also, while I agree that the comparison between Quebec and the former Yugoslavia seems a bit silly, the whole point of this video is to demonstrate that an independent Quebec will not be a Utopia. Besides, does Quebec really have it that bad in Canada? Apart from die hard separatists, I would tend to think that most would probably say no.

Theres no such things as utopia... We know that. But you know, you have to be on our side to understand that we are proud of our culture, of our language (the French of our ancestors, an Unique french that was talk in 16th century in France). We want to protect our culture that is heavily treathened in Quebec. I dont know if we will ever get what we want, but at least, we are trying.

Yugoslavia doesn't have Indians or Inuit..The Quebec separatists take it for granted that they can separate without first negotiating with these people...a winning referendum vote would have nothing to do with indigenous people in the province as they don't apply to the question and have been under federal jurisdiction since the creation of the country..and even that jurisdiction is inapplicable to them,as well as their lands.

What I don't understand is why Indians and Inuits never tell why exactly they are against separation. If an independent Quebec offers you the same as Canada does (language, lands, economical assistance etc..) does it really matters in what country you live in ? The fight of the first nations and that of the separatists is the same. Separatists care about the first nations but the latter don't give a shit about francophones. That is extremly frustrating.
