It depends! Ovechkin has to work with a team that doesnt have as many GREAT players as the penguins so ovechkin is the one and only leader on his team. UNLIKE the capitals the penguins have CROSBY, Staal, Malkin, Gologovski, and a awsome goalie Marc-andre-Fleury . That is why the penguins got the CUP! Ovechkin needs somebody else that is also a high scorer to work with.

Crosby, Malkin and Staal (nice spelling) all play on different lines. Orpik is purely a shutdown defenseman. The Caps are an offensively stacked team while the Pens rely on three guys for point production.

What's your definition of "complaining"? When Crosby was made captain, it became his responsibility to represent his team in front of the refs. When shitty calls are made, it's his JOB to let them know (some people call this whining). It's also his job to ask why the calls are made, etc. Same thing happened when Ovie became captain. Watch the Caps play and you'll see Ovie yapping at the refs just as much as Crosby and there's nothing wrong with that.
