  • i'm a second year trombone and i'm learning baritone now anyone have any tips?

  • AHAHAH this is is the first song i thought of when my brother first showed me his baritone today!

  • can you tell me the cords to the song so i can play it

  • This is neither edu nor tainment.

  • Pretty good but that's actually called a euphonium. There is a difference between the both.

  • your really good

  • STRIPPER SHORTS!!!!!!11

  • practice tone the rest is awesome

  • Cool im 12 and i play the baritone i know the b flat scale,f scale,a flat scale,c scale,b flat chromatic scale , im learning the e flat scale

  • @theludvigmaxis1 im 11 and i swicthed ftom tumpet to baritone so i dont know

  • what a vistruoso!!!

  • Euphonium can have 3 or 4 valves

  • Great playing at 1:10

  • just to make it clear... a baritone horn/euphonium is NOT just a "trombone that has valves"... two different instruments, trombone tends to be brighter, euph/bari more darker and mellow.

  • @itwontcomeout5678

The baritone horn is not by any means a mellow instrument. It's closer to the trombone than it is the euphonium.

  • @Jrv2005 finally someone who is not stupid.

  • That's clearly a euphonium, NOT a baritone.

  • @Jrv2005 a euphonium has 4 vavles this has 3 so its a baritone asshole

  • @TZdubb

    *sigh*

You obviously have no fucking idea what you're talking about because that's the most ignorant thing I've ever heard in my fucking life.

I can't link through posts, but go on google RIGHT NOW and type in Euphonium vs Baritone into the search bar. You will get an article written by David Werden, a professional Euphonium player, explaining the differences between the two instruments, and why the instrument in this video is a EUPHONIUM. Don't be an ignorant fuck; you're wrong.

  • @Jrv2005 I'm sorry but your wrong. A euphonium can have 3-4 valves and is slightly bigger than what he's playing in the video. So yeah, thats not a euphonium it's a baritone.

  • @ltc139

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Did you even go to the website I described ? I'm a euphonium player, I think I know my fucking instruments, and it's a cold day in hell when that instrument is a Baritone Horn. Stop being ignorant and research the topic before making stupid statements like that based on size, when euphoniums come in various sizes.

  • @Jrv2005 okay dude, you don't have to go off on a tirade. I also play euphonium and it's bigger than that. And please calm down.

  • wat u guys talking abt the baritone is the best euphoniums and baritones are like the same thing thats y they call them the euphonium baritones dumb butts so there you have it and the only thing that makes them both diffrent is that the euphonium baritone has a fourth valve by the side of the baritone

  • @jmcleroy4163 actually if it has the valve it refers to the instrument as compensating, Someone correct me if a am wrong, and there is a difference in the timbre between a euphonium and baritone..... thats why if you looks at alot of brass band music from europe it has euphonium 1 &2 in addition to baritone 1&2

  • what a lick @ 1:20. think this is just a case of an EPIC fluke. for somebody who needs to refer to sheet music for C Major scale...

  • i need the fucking music sheet plz

  • These two guys, mainly the one holding the Euphonium, demonstrate poor playing and technique. I don't understand how Expertvillage lets poor players, and teachers, make these lesson videos.

  • Because all of the good musicians are busy actually playing in orchestras, bands and other musical groups making a living and making a name for themselves.

  • drworm, its a baritone.

  • Why is everyone arguing about the baritone and euphonium for?

    Everyone knows trombones are better!

    Trombone FTW!

  • no arguement but they are pretty much the same intstrument but the baritone has valves an trombone has a slide there on the same scale as the baritone also...so really it doesnt matter i love the baritone i went from playing the trombone to the baritone an i love it!

  • @cuuldude1 trombone is OKAY BUT Baritone is the greatest!!!!!!!!

  • This whole thing would be worth arguing about baritone/euphonium if this guy could play the music correctly

  • poor,just....poor

  • bandboy,,,baritone and euphoniums might sounds "kinda" the same but if u look at the two they have completley different piping..

  • i play the baritone and the tuba. there is no difference between the euphonium or baritone. the euphonium is sometimes curved and so is the baritone. euphonium was the name that was used back then. the baritone also comes with a 4th valve as mine does, or might come with a 3rd as others do. they were both made for the same music so dont try to argue with someone who actually plays the instrument!!!

  • i play the baritone and trombone

  • The difference between a baritone and a Euphonium is small and not really worth arguing. The big difference is the bore size and shape , and it only really applies at certain times such as solo/brass band settings where the parts call for different things and the instruments sound better on different things. but in essence the main thing is

Baritone= Cylindrical bore ( same as trombone)

    Euphonium= Conical bore(same as tuba)

VALVS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT

  • I'm sure I'm just reading this wrong. but are you saying that euphonium and tuba have the same bore size? I play a willson euphonium that has one of the largest bore sizes and it is nothing compared to any size tuba

  • I am not saying the bore sizes are a like the style of bore.

Trombones/Baritones are cylindrical meaning like a cylinder pretty much the same size throughout the instrument.

While Euphoniums are conical meaning like a cone growing from on end to the other

  • The Baritone actually has a slightly conical bore, not as dramatic at the tuba's but not as non-existent as a trombone's. The sound is somewhere in between the two.

  • the name comes form the greek meaning beautiful sound and the baritone has a different sound. euphoniums are more mello and have a larger bore. Baritones are more tense and have small bores. and there you have it.

  • The baritone Has 3 or 4 valves

Euphonium is b.c(base cleaft) baritone if t.c(trable cleft)

IM in band so all who are not in band learned something! So if you don't play or back off atleast they do.Ok. so next time think before you comment!!!!!!!!! srry i just had to rant!

  • Baritones typically play with B.C. or T.C..

  • wow nice fudge... you need to A. relax B. get some lessons C. carry the notes on ur b flat scale better.... your ending them too soon and making it sound choppy

  • that baritone is in desperate need of tuning

  • Comment removed

  • wow our high school went to state 17 time and twice when i was in band im on varsity and i play b-tone way better than you get a life old people

  • that looks more like a euphonium.. the taper is wider are you sure that's a baritone?

  • Wow, learn how to keep your pitch straight you fucking noob.

  • what r the baritone notes (bass clef please)

  • what do you mean? the fingerings? or the notes themselves? I'm 13, and when i play Baritone. the main scale i play is B flat, C, D, E flat, F, G, A, and B flat.

  • the marching baritone? im in a marching band 2 (only middle shcool so if im wrong correct me plz)and i have never heard of a marching baritone

  • it lookz differnt but yea there iz a marching b-tone....picture a giant trumpet

  • Yeah, our highschool band played us a assimblie its a baritone bu you hold like a trumpet and valves and buttons o top and mout piece on bottom.

  • i play the marching baritone cause im in marching band

  • wow well....im sUUUre you dont do any gigs

  • you hit so many wrong notes...

  • i like warming up with the chromatic scale in band the tuba starts high and the baritone starts low and it sounds really cool
