@carrottopso actually it was only a year before count of tuscany being that liquid tension experiment only toured in 2008 for one time in 10 years and Black Clouds And Silver Linings came out in june of 09, so it was around the time that they were recording the album. i understand what your saying about that but this is just a improve of a gershwin tune and that very similar riff would appear on the DT album.

@DylanEVH actually is Thais Meditation. A piece from Jules MAssenet ;) but still I heard it and though the same, it's very similar to The Count Of Tuscany.

@cellista767 good call man. i'll definately check that out. this arrangment is a masterpiece. Although i love the origional George Gershwin version. this arrangment is just mindblowing. Petrucci is one of my top 5 favorite guitar players and i got a chance to meet him a few months ago randomly out of the blue too hahahaha

I use a laptop, yes. But I would NEVER listen to LTE, or Dream Theater for that matter, on my laptop speakers.

I used headphones which give good bass and I couldn't hear the chapman stick clearly enough. I have 5.1 speakers and I turned the bass frequencies on the subwoofer up - still nothing.

I can hear Tony Levin's bass very clearly. Chapman stick? Not as much.

Besides - I got 12 thumbs up (not much in eleven months, but still) - obviously some other people share my view
