I came out to my parents and they absolutely flipped SHIT. Needless to say.. I hide half of my life from over half of my family and it's not fun! On another note: I LOVE LOVE LOOOOVE this video. By FAR my favorite. And actually.. I've been thinking about legitimately BUYING an Island just for lesbians. not really sure HOW that's going to work, but it's worth a shot. :P

Totally came out the day before coming out day. (Didn't know that day even excisted) My dad was totally cool with it. He was like; Are you okay with it? I said yes and then he just nodded and said 'well, that's settled then.' I love him. I love myself for finally coming out to him. (everybody else already knew)

I had a gay relative who died a while back. He was "out" to our family, but he never said who else he was "out" to.

Is it safe or courteous to out someone who's not around to say it himself/herself? I do want to respect his memory, but I also want to show what an awesome, honest guy he was.

Since I came out 10 yrs ago-she wont LOOK me in the eye. Not my issue-I know. I didnt tell her to get her approval-she wanted to know why I "didnt just keep it to myself." I told her I didnt want to hide anymore & that I cared enough about her to tell her. Beyond the fact that Im a (very proud) lesbian the rest of NONE of her business.
