Ron Paul is against the Protect IP Act as written. If it passes, then it will be more difficult for diabetics to import the natural pork & beef insulin that they need for survival and quality of life. Eli Lilly stated that rDNA synthetic human insulin wouldn't work for some diabetics and rDNA human insulin is the only insulin available in America. Why isn't natural pork & beef insulin protected by the "Orphan Drug Act"? Pork & Beef insulin should be available to American diabetics again.
@1happydiabetic I have the symptoms of type 1 diabetes but they come and go I was tested and got 102 which I know is normal but I'm always feeling dizzy and I eat lot of food and drink lots of water what do u think? plz anwer as quickly as u can
@UPtoNGiRL1 there's not a lot wrong with it, other than it tends to gross other people out :P .... or if you're one of the many people that happens to carry group A streptococcus bacteria in their throat, as that is one of the bacteria that can lead to flesh-eating disease. I know someone who had to have a couple of his fingers amputated because he licked the blood off after testing when he had a cold, and he developed flesh-eating disease :P

As a 33yo Aussie gal I thort Id escaped the t1d curse that runs thu my family but alas Sep 16th 2010 my lack ran out. T1d is now my way of life & acceptance is a daily struggle. I have been advised a CGMS mite be gud option to help me understand my BSLs better & after a quick search I came across u. Bravo! Ive watched all ur vids & am completely inspired to start managing my diabetes with the respect it deserves. Thanku 4 the inspiration & I look forward to becoming 1 happy diabetic too! K

"well i feel like im gunna pass out, so its ok to go to candly land for a little while" ) and #1. im not THAT bad with that onw. i hipe it off on the test strip after im done with it and then i kind go back to #9 and its really a vicious cycle. =)
hey the licking of the finger is the worst. I just stopped after seeing another fellow diabetic doing so! it just looks nasty. Hard habit to break after 26 years! but for sure that is #1

Too funny...I'm guilty of a lot of these! The licking the blood off my finger one is my worst. I started this thing a while back where I would just wipe it off on the side of the case that holds my meter until I looked at it the other day and it looks like evidence from a murder scene lol

Hell, I'm also guilty of eating a block of cheese too. I figure hey, there's no carbs in it, so it's free food. WRONG! Still bad for you. I had a diabetic nazis after me last week at the bar when I was having a Newcastle beer. Sure, you gotta take your diabetes seriously, but you have to live on the edge sometimes. Great vid
