Mustang a sports car? Well it's more a pony car,as in small coupe with performance options. In fact it was the only pony car for a few years until the camaro and challenger stepped up to be beaten by it again!
But from the early '70's through the mid '80s, it was not so great, but glad ford held onto it, the new ones are even better than the best of the classic years.
@dsifor3dsboi Cause it was a coupe that was stylish for the era that came in coupe hatch or convertable thats why the Miata is considered a sports car
Random I guess....always kept the oil checked. It's time to replace the '84 Ranger as it's a carburated engine and there's a reason why all new cars have fuel injection. I've had the '01 Focus since 2002. I may go for a Honda CRV for a 4X4 to get around in in the snow.
The Ranger interior still looks like brand new (seat covers, dashmat, floor mats, etc.), but the exterior could stand repainting. Again, there's a reason why new cars are clear coated. Time to 'upgrade'..... :O]
For some reason, the 3rd generation mustang did not start looking like a true sports car until 1987. So from 1979-1986, it was a disappointment to me.
@scooterdude1945 Wow, you're getting sensitive over my opinion on a car.... Really? I can voice my opinion on something like you can voice yours and if you don't like my opinion, then don't bother to fucking read it.
@jakesaintsrow123 It was a Turbo charged hatchback in dark Grey metallic. I loved it. Looked cool, sounded cool (turbo - and added bi-amped stereo) and was great for about a year. Threw a rod out of warranty. Sold it in 1983 and bought a new Ranger 4X4 which I still have, but will probably be selling soon. Have 2001 Focus.

1980 Mustang but convertibles weren't sold til 1983. This was a Carriage or Phantom top. Something I've never like on any car.
