@LLS12341 In the original Japanese Red/Green sprites Alakazam had a Star of David/Pentagram on it's forehead that was removed due to the possiblity of controversy in the US. Coincedence, I think not!!!
Have a 1 up mushroom and poison touch. Bring a boss down to near death and your own health two half a heart and kill the boss by killing yourself. The game will be unplayable from that moment for some reason :P
Might as well happen if you kill the boss and die without the 1 up mushroom. That I can't say.

-Use Bible on 2nd or 3rd phase: Instant death by pentagram (btw, you get that death also if you die by making deals with the devil even if you don't have enough heart containers.)
-Use Bible with Wafer: 1.5 Hearts damage (so basically 3?)
@LinkEX I'm not sure if the fact that I had faith hearts factored into it. Perhapse it took all my faith hearts and then half that amount from my red hearts, or maybe just 1.5 hearts. More detailed "research" is required to determine if and how faith hearts effect circumstances with this scenario.
@BDeerhead right, the faith hearts might have somethign to do with it, but i'd say it's very unlikely since they simply act as "armor" (except for the 3 soul heart fee for some items in the devil room).
Then again it was totally unexpected that the Wafer prevents you from dieing instantly. Maybe eveb that' is just some unintentional bug in the first place. I mean it would be a nice easter egg, but how would anyone normally by any means find that out if he knows Bible + Satan = Death?
it may have not killed you the first time because of your wafer, it did do 3 hits worth on you though, so idk, probably another item combination glitch
@SHADlX00 I'm pretty sure you don't need to unlock the bible, it's just that the items are all randomly generated so what you find is entirely luck based. I seem to find the 1up almost everytime I play, but spider bite was on of the last items I found. Just yesterday I had a little beggar boy give me the bible, and in the very same stage there were 2 bibles for sale in the shop. However, your odds of finding the bible are increased by getting faith up items like the rosary.
