Will there be fan noise from NAS or will there be noticeable lag when the album loads - I have recently bought auraliti PK100 ..you can read reviews from computeraudiophile.
@damnfunny2001 There was little to no lag. I took apart the NAS, disabled the fan, and ran it open so there would be no fan noise. I'm in the process of designing a new HTPC actually, and am going to abandon the NAS all together and just use local storage.
I was going to say that xbmc also runs a web based controlled browser too so on your laptop you could connect andmgetma visual of all your content and play pause stop it also
Even though i read the description, i still don't understand how you steam music from your phone to the music system? I love your Yamaha speakers, they would sound really nice hooked up to my Yamaha receiver :)
@XxKYFERxX The phone does not stream music, it merely acts as a remote control for the system. There is a dedicated media PC which runs XBMC. The phone runs a program called XBMC Remote, which allows me to interact with the media PC (queue music, play, pause, browse collection, etc, etc).

You could probably win a lot by replacing old studio speakers with power amp and decent hifi seekers.
