  • I really like the large print of the vinyl version. I might have to send for that one. As aggravating as can be, my eyes just dont cooperate for too long nowadays. I have to resort to my family Bible, the size of a coffee table. I saw you mention that you have a MacArthur Study Bible. Ive been seriously considering that as well. I cant even imagine what is in it considering his knowledge and study. Would you recommend it?

  • @tonysshadow Hi Tony. If you want to see a font size comparison between some of the LCBP bibles, I did one in the latest video youtube.com/watch?v=cVvPEicdmGY. If your theology tends to be Reformed, you will love the MacArthur Study Bible, otherwise, there will be a lot you don't agree with. The font is not huge though. If you have trouble with your eyes, I'd check it out in person first. God bless you and yours

  • Is the Hand Size Bible that you are reviewing from the Executive Series or the Designer Series?

  • @biblereadermn It is from the executive series. It is absolutely fabulous!

  • @bondservant40 Do you know what the size of the print is for the Hand Size BIble? I just looked at the LCBD website and they do not say what it is.

  • @biblereadermn You know, I couldn't tell that when I ordered either. It is bigger and bolder than the print in the MacArthur Study Bible (which I think is supposed to be 9pt), so I am guessing a bold 10 pt. Their large print is a 12 and their giant print around a 15. They have a font sample sheet you can print out under their menu - I think resources...can kind of give you a better idea of the print size you are ordering

  • @bondservant40 I didn't notice before that they have a font sample sheet on their website. I am glad that I saw that before ordering a Hand Size Bible because it definitely does not have big enough type for me. I will have to get one of the Large Print Bibles. Thanks for the help.

    God Bless.

  • @biblereadermn The large print is a beautiful Bible with a crisp font. It does not have the pronunciation marks that the hand size does, so it is a very "clean read". :) God bless!

  • One more question @bondservant40: Is the print in the Giant Print Vinyl larger than the print in your Giant Print Holman you reviewed a few months ago? What about the overall size. Is it heavier than your Holman? I'm somewhat of a dork in case you haven't noticed and I'm just trying to see what kind of weight and bulk I can expect from this new Bible that I ordered!

  • @ForeWard76 The Giant Print Vinyl is bigger print than my Holman (which is still my main Bible btw) Thinking about using the LCBP one to carry around for ministry. I keep wearing those out, and this looks really well made. The giant print is waaay thicker than the holman and pretty heavy -at least compared to the Holman. The print is really, really nice though.

  • I ordered the Giant Print vinyl today! $8!!! I went to the website and it stated that the Bible is sewn. Depending on the print quality and how my highlighters & pens respond...I MAY switch. I have a hand size giant print KJV by AMG that I LOVE because it has a large concordance and a separate concordance of proper names. I used to lug my Thompson Chain everywhere, but even at 35 years old that print is now too small for me. I hope I love this Bible!

  • @ForeWard76 I hope you like it! It will be a great Bible to mark up. The pages are pretty thick on it. Let me know what you think once it arrives. :)

  • The leather bibles gets softer and more subtler the more you use them. At first when I got mine I didnt like the way it looked. But on the 3rd day of use the bible looked alot nicer. Now I am soo happy with my mid size large print.

  • @Sonica212 Sonica, I thought the print on this one would be larger than it is. This is probably a 9 or 10 pt bold. How big would you say the large size print is? Glad you are happy with yours! :)

  • @bondservant40 Maybe about 15 16. Its really juicy and large. I love reading from the large print. The words just jumps out at you.

  • @Sonica212 Sonica, as much as I love the hand size, my eyes just don't read it anymore - though it would be big and bold for people with "normal" eyes. SO nicely done. Anyhoo, after your 1st post I ordered the large print and it is actually coming *today*! Now, after reading your description, I am especially eager to read it :)

  • Looks good!

  • @ladrev1257 :)

  • Where can that be purchased? My bible has shrinking text syndrome! maybe my glasses are just wearing out? LOL

Anyway I could use a larger print size if they are on sale?

  • @Billthesheepdog they are at the link I gave in the video and comments. I don't think they allow me to put a whole link in a comment :|. Yes, they have large and giant. I have the same syndrome as you! Totally understand :)
