Beautiful video at this high ISO. I sure wish Nikon would offer video mode in a "More Affordable" FX smaller Pro body like the D700. Not everyone wants video, I do, it doesn't cost the manufacturer that much to include it, look at the D90. Technology is advancing in huge leaps, shouldn't effect the price that much for HD Video. Nikon needs to release some newer fresher models soon.

Hardly night time in new york is it ?? All those lights and neons its as bright as daytime and shiny paint chrome and glass always looks great even on old vhs video.

Im not knocking the camera I have a D3 but Id rather do without the video and pay less money , Pity they cant make two D3s one without video.

First of all, let's stop name calling over a camera, its just not worth it, because one thing's for sure, there's no perfect camera on the market. I'm can't say whether this is as nice as a $5,000 camera, as I haven't done any research into sensor, processor, etc. But the ISO capability with this dynamic range is extremely promising. It's no 5D Mk II in terms of images quality, which is a DSLR that I can fully attest to being as good if not better than $5,000 cameras -- 7D included.

@Tbacho11 alright, I'll correct myself on the sensor. It's barely-just barely smaller than the full frame sensor on the 5D Mk II...at the 12,500 ISO that explains the drop in quality, understandable making its true quality tough to gauge from this particular video. I'm going to have to look at some small ISO controlled photography with this now. This sensor size is larger than the RED one, by a reasonable margin. That alone makes it desirable over a large video camera market.

Great camera nikon is the best as far as video canon is trash look for the RED dslr that's gonna kill canons mark 2-3 and any other mark they make you'll see then what will canon users say then nothing. Its what you do with the camera fools.

Wow, i am not impressed, it's hardly a night scene, it's like downtown Vegas with a million lights. The $800 Canon EOS T1i shoots better video than that. Finally the Canon 1D Mark4 is equally a video camera as a still camera. The NIKON D3S video is just an extra feature, as for stills i think NIKON is the better camera.
