Use a lot of finger and rebound control. Build up your finger speed and strength. What I like to do is set the met at a nice comfy tempo and play 4 bars of 16th notes on each hand. Keep upping the tempo as you master the slower speeds. As with any chop building it helps to practice as close to everyday as you can so your endurance grows. Otherwise you'll constantly be rebuilding rather than building upon.
