It might seem like WAY more, but if it really were, dont you think it would be a full blown war instead of just opportunistic amushes/attacks and roadside bombs? That number would increase dramatically in the event of ww3 since we got over 9 mil people on a list ready to be drafted, but still all these new recruits would be poorly trained and probably poorly equipped (not all would be drafted though, since the economy wouldn't handle it, and we lack the weapons for it anyway)
