band hero is the FAMILY VERSION of the game its nothing to do with the fact that you can play as a band you've been able to do that for at least 3 games now. its not rock band either its made by the guitar hero group. however its not as good (in my opinion) because it has less rock and metal in it and more music from the charts. it seems to me that guitar hero and rock band are selling out. the setlist is more pop music, they've released band hero, dj hero, and lego rock band (designed for kids)

the drums only have 4 drumpads the gh drums have 5 and the cymbals is higher then the other drumpads

@M4TH145spr i bought the rock band portable drums for use with guitar hero because of the price and they're really good. the only negative side is that it wont let you play the drum tutorial so i cant get my xbox acheivements :(

the dlc for guitar hero is terrible to say the least. Actually horrible. Rock band;s catalogue of music is vastly superior to guitar hero's, plus the ion drums destroy the gh and rb drums.

Rock Band didn´t really copy Guitar Hero off.

Rock Band is made by Harmonix, which made Guitar Hero 1, and 2.

And from what i´ve heard, dj Hero is made by the same, who made Guitar Hero.

And also, from what i know, Band Hero is also from Activision like DJ Hero, and Guitar Hero (:

This edition sounds really good. GHWT, GH5, GHM, GHSH, and GHVH have all kinda sucked recently.

I don't know why they completely revamped the engine after GH3, because although it was much much looser, it allowed them to make sloppier charts without a tight engine. That's why GH3 was a-okay.

GHWT and after, on the other hand, is ridiculous, because they still chart the same, sloppy way, but they tightened the engine.

The best engine was GH5, which had a bad setlist, IMO.

they r only calling it band hero because rockband is making lots of money with the guitar, drums, mic and i think they are just trying to be more like rockband why be more like rockband when u have to fight for fans if they need more customers they should do something completly different

This game actually doesn't look too bad. With songs like "love is a battlefield" and "american pie" it shouldn't be too bad. The setlist is pretty good so far (aside from the Hilary Duff and Ali and AJ crap.) Also, I think it is compatible with the rock band drums for wii just like guitar hero 5, so that should be good.
