Hi everyone! Greetings from Canada. I age 38 and new to aggressive skating. I am having so much fun I made a you-tube channel to record my progress and I also made a website with useful information for others starting out in rollerblading. check it out: MonkeyThink(dot)com -- peace
The problem with this is you havent learnt the grind properly to start with you literally need to have the backslide plate down on the back foot aswell
u probably already know by now as this video's 1 year old, but for all the other people, the backslide plate and the H-bar(grind spot in the middle of your frames) has to touch the rail on your back foot.
You might show your viewers the intermediate step of going at the rail a little bit skewed, thus you're aiming to not slide the whole thing. Grinding the whole rail can be tricky. But if you go at it a little from the side and a little down the length, essentially diagonal, then it's easier to slide to stop which is a bit safer. It's good you show how to start just learning to lock in with a step on then jump on. Nice tutorial.
K just a question, do you need those 42 mm (or whatever) wheels to replace the middle two? Or can you just leave those out? Cause I hear it's easier to do slides and stuff with out those in there. Please let me know!
The 42 middle wheels are called either anti-rockers or grind wheels. They don't help you at ALL butsome ppl finks it helps them balance when they grind.
its a ROYALE theres an E but still good i had my skates for about a day so far and i learned frontsides royales and im learning acids now and its pretty cool how u fingerboard too lol
im trying on a standard concrete curb. every time i get speed and go up to it im fall straight down cause i cant seem to slide. im just starting so any tips?
hey make sure you wax the curb before doing that because that could cause you to fall or you arent centered over you skates so just try those tips but if they dont work comment me back
If you do a frontside and then tweak your back leg into royale position then you will not get any better on this trick and have to relearn it all again. Start learning by landing in the royale position right away.
A royal grind is when your front foot is like in a normal frontside, but your back foot is grinding on the H-block and the backslide plate. Your front foot doesn't necessarily have to be bent. Important thing in this is that most of your weight has to be on the back foot.
hay dude im afraid ill brake my arm by falling back it happend to be on a skim board and the doctor said if i brake my brone in half agian ill need surgey how do i get over my feer plzzz help me.
