Bruce has done well for Runrig. Donnie has moved on and will always be very special. The band is still going and that is all that matters. Scotland-Nova Scotia....one people, one heart, our beautiful mother..Scotland. In the years to come Scotland will need all her sons and daughters wether they be Scots Canadians, Scots Americans or wherever they hail from. Runrig will go on and so will our beloved Scotland.

Nova Scotia is New Scotland because it was named so by Scots who came here so long ago. The land in Cape Breton ( where Bruce is from) looks just like Scotland so I guess that's why they named it so. The old language and music still thrives and there is a Gallic college that teaches the language, the bagpipes and fiddle etc. You can buy nearly every tartan in their shop and they make kilts to order. So Scotland is very much alive in the people of Nova Scotia.

its such a shame that Malcs unwell though at the moment, I'm a mega fan of Malc, hes just nothing short of amazing, I mean hes just the kind of guy I think that waits every time for his moment to shine if ya hear when bruce says hail it up for Malcolm Jones (or words to that effect) the fans scream for him thats a testiment to the man himself and me being a guitarist,. hes the reason I think I want to be like him hes ace!! Amen to that - he's one of the guitarists who's work inspired me to take it up, and I was shocked when I heard about his collapse, but from what I hear he's on the mend so all the best MJ! Possibly the most criminally unknown guitarists to have ever lived.

You're entitled to your opinion of Bruce but it's not like Donnie was sacked. He left, voluntarily, and he's not coming back. If Bruce hadn't joined, the band probably wouldn't exist at all now.

I'll be honest and say when DonnieMonroe left,I lost Interested and I was determined never to listen to anything new by RunRig until this userper "BruceGuthro"(Who?),and a Canadian FFS,now that's having a laugh isn't it?? had left!BOY...what a mistake I made!Just started listening to the new stuff,sure it's not the same as the older stuff (which I will always love and enjoy), it's different...and I love it!!
