y do they always give wayne the black parts, i mean i know he's black, but i think it would've been more hilarious if ryan or colin or anyone did them thats the only thing i dont like bout this show :P
Look at it this way: if Ryan or Colin were to "act black" for a particular scene it could have raised questions and criticism about racism. Yeah, I know, they wouldn't mean to, but generally it's not a good idea to have a white performer mimic black language/culture/mannerism because it can too easily be misconstrued as being racially insensitive or even offensive, especially in America.
@randomcrazychik It is and it isn't. Improv is something that can't be practiced, it is something that comes natural. Only certain people can do improv, it isn't a learned trade. And to do improv as a collective, as per usual, the right people have to be paired up. On Whose Line 95% of the time it worked, the other 5% were duds, such as Kathy Greenwood. So for people, like those who appear on Whose Line and other such shows, it really isn't hard, just something fun to do.
@PIRATESOFTHEC3 Young people sometimes have this ability. I'm rather good at it myself; this coming from the mouths of professionals and not myself. When I use the term professional I merely am referring to those who are just as good at it as these lovely folks on Whose Line. Brad, Ryan, Colin, and Wayne, and all the rest, are just being themselves, and letting their creativity flow. That isn't difficult by any means, and, having been on stage in front of others, I know.
@PIRATESOFTHEC3 Even some audience members, who have no practice with improv, as it is not something you practice (Welcome to Whose Line Is It Anyway? where the show's made up and the points don't matter.), will surprise you on this show. I'm sorry for the long reply, but these types of statements that improv is difficult truly bother me. It certainly isn't easy, but only to those who lack the ability; which, sadly, is many.

To the people that want whose line back, there is a sorta half way point, With Whose live is it anyway, an improv show with Ryan,Greg,Jeff And Chip, Even though the show is almost done for this year i think it is a yearly thing or near yearly (I could be wrong) And there site has several videos

Greg, Brad, Colin and Ryan have to be my favs though. I would have loved to see an episode with these four and Drew. That would have been the ultimate!
Don't you think the US version is better than the UK version? From the studio atmosphere to the interaction between the cast. The US studio looks purposefully built for comedy; it's so bright and cheery. The UK studio looks like a bank vault and Clive Anderson like a bank manager trying to weasel you out of your money. LOL. I find Drew way funnier than Clive. He just seems to much more likeable anyway. Plus, the US cast always seems to have better chemistry.
I love how Drew cracks up uncontrollably sometimes when it's totally hilarious. You can tell he's having a whale of a time on the show. They all seem to get along so well, even when they're playfully making fun of Colin's baldness or Ryan's shoes or Drew's weight, etc.
I wish they'd bring the show back, but I'm wondering whether the actors would want to come back ... some people just don't want to go back to what they were doing before ...
Drew's laugh is contagious too! I found a few videos on here that are just compliations of his laugh. Oh man, I nearly lost it. I laughed so hard it literally hurt! You can always tell when it's his true laugh too.
I love all the jokes they come up with for each other. I always thought that Ryan's shoes were awesome.
I don't know if they would want to come back, that's an interesting thought. Maybe they'll have a reunion show or something like that?

This is the only show that has ever continuously made me almost choke, fall off my chair, spit food/drink at the computer monitor, accidentally bang limbs on furniture, and make my ribs hurt - all from laughing so much! I would almost pay to have them get together for a reunion show!
I remember reading somewhere that when it was running Whose Line had to compete with Friends and Survivor. I can understand Friends, but Survivor?!?! O.o

Have you noticed how impeccable Greg always is in a 3-piece suit? Comes complete with a vest! He always looked so spiffing.

I think reality shows are plain boring. Nobody really cares about the contestants unless they know them personally, I guess. Besides, what's the point of reality shows? Don't we have enough of that crap in real life?

Btw, I forgot to say that I went to see Wayne live at his NZ International Comedy Festival show. He was AWESOME! Even better than he was on Whose Line, if you'll believe it. It was the best 2 hours ever.
You know how Wayne was really good but not quite fantastic at the games that didn't include music? He's improved so much and he can definitely hold his own in those games now. Wayne's show made me miss Whose Line more than ever. The theatre capacity was 2,200 and something, and it was FULL. It was astounding to see so many people who were into WLIIA next to me and around me. I'm planning a party with a Whose Line theme but it's hard getting friends to participate. They're so bloody shy!
Yeah Wayne is great with the music ones. I know I would never be able to make up stuff like that on the spot. That's so awesome to hear he keeps getting better. Improv is truely an art.
WLIIA fans are hardcore, that must have been rockin' to see so many others!

Wayne's been practising a lot of improv, though, so he was bound to get better. He's probably the most active of the former Whose Liners right now, but then he is quite a bit younger than most of them and hasn't got a family of his own. It's so sad he got divorced because he's such a great guy. I hope he finds someone better.
If you lived in my city, I'd invite you to my party. At least the Internet gives us the chance to communicate with people from all over the world about random stuff.

As for YouTube ... I was feeling nostalgic one day after Chip's rendition of Snagglepuss on one of the Weird Newscasters games, so I YouTubed Snagglepuss and there are loads of episodes of that show! He's so fabulous!
I totally wish i could go to a party like that!! I live in Puerto Rico, so not many people know about Whose Line and I don't have anyone to share it with!! And I know I'd be good at one of those parties because I'm studying theater!! I just wish I could meet people like you!!
I only know one person who is as into Whose Line as I am, so he and I will be doing most of the performing, I guess, unless we get some volunteers. I wish I knew more people like YOU! : ) Does the place where you study or local university have clubs? That's one avenue you could try to find more people with similar tastes. Do some research. You might be in luck.

I used to watch the Drew Carey Show all the time too, so seeing Drew and Ryan on the US Whose Line was so much fun. Drew always could make me laugh.
I can't get over how well they all work together. I mean no matter who is on there they can pull off some of the funniest stuff.
Clive kinda weirded me out. I did enjoy some of the banter he had going on with Greg though, that was always good for a laugh.

I was thinking that this show should air in terminal wards in hospitals. If it won't cure anything, at least the patients will go down laughing. How's this for a good way to die: in your sleep while dreaming of a Whose Line episode. xD
I hate most of the reality shows that became super popular. I could feel the neurons in my brain self-destructing while just watching the ads for them.

Oh the shirts! Now who could forget them? I remember on the one episode where he said he was missing bald jokes because everyone was making fun of the shirt..LOL!

I think those reality shows are all fake. They plan them all out. I have no doubt that some people will want to smack me for saying that, but that's what I think.
One thing I have always wanted to see are some of the Whose Line cast in a real movie! How awesome would that be?

Have you noticed how impeccable Greg always is in a 3-piece suit? Comes complete with a vest! He always looked so spiffing.
I love the bald jokes! Colin's long-suffering face doubles the hilarity.
I think reality shows are plain boring. Nobody really cares about the contestants unless they know them personally, I guess. Besides, what's the point of reality shows? Don't we have enough of that crap in real life?
Can you imagine a Whose Line movie??? Dunno what kind of scenario it could have ...

Btw, I forgot to say that I went to see Wayne live at his NZ International Comedy Festival show. He was AWESOME! Even better than he was on Whose Line, if you'll believe it. It was the best 2 hours ever.

You know how Wayne was really good but not quite fantastic at the games that didn't include music? He's improved so much and he can definitely hold his own in those games now. Wayne's show made me miss Whose Line more than ever. The theatre capacity was 2,200 and something, and it was FULL. It was astounding to see so many people who were into WLIIA next to me and around me. I'm planning a party with a Whose Line theme but it's hard getting friends to participate. They're so bloody shy!

Yeah Wayne is great with the music ones. I know I would never be able to make up stuff like that on the spot. That's so awesome to hear he keeps getting better. Improv is truely an art.
WLIIA fans are hardcore, that must have been rockin' to see so many others!

Wayne's been practising a lot of improv, though, so he was bound to get better. He's probably the most active of the former Whose Liners right now, but then he is quite a bit younger than most of them and hasn't got a family of his own. It's so sad he got divorced because he's such a great guy. I hope he finds someone better.
If you lived in my city, I'd invite you to my party. At least the Internet gives us the chance to communicate with people from all over the world about random stuff.

I think Drew's married now, isn't he? It was so funny how all the married Whose Liners made fun of him, being one of the very few single guys on the show. He went through some tough times in his life so I hope he's happy now.
I love YouTube so much. I don't know how we all managed without it before. But I guess Whose Line and other truly good shows were still on TV before YouTube went mainstream ...

I think he is too, either that he's engaged, something like that. Good for him though, he so deserves to be happy. I read about him and I was pretty close to tears.
But I love that he's the new Price is Right host. Somehow I think it suits him.

Drew is such a good host, so I reckon he'd be good for any TV game show. He somehow manages to strike up a great rapport with everyone.
As for YouTube ... I was feeling nostalgic one day after Chip's rendition of Snagglepuss on one of the Weird Newscasters games, so I YouTubed Snagglepuss and there are loads of episodes of that show! He's so fabulous!

I totally wish i could go to a party like that!! I live in Puerto Rico, so not many people know about Whose Line and I don't have anyone to share it with!! And I know I'd be good at one of those parties because I'm studying theater!! I just wish I could meet people like you!!

I only know one person who is as into Whose Line as I am, so he and I will be doing most of the performing, I guess, unless we get some volunteers. I wish I knew more people like YOU! : ) Does the place where you study or local university have clubs? That's one avenue you could try to find more people with similar tastes. Do some research. You might be in luck.
