  • I spelled antimony rong last time.

  • I am 13 years old and I know this song, all 102 elements of it, from atamony to sodium

  • @theperiodictableofel

Cool...why not make a video of you singing it and put it on YouTube?

  • That was utterly brilliant Brady!

  • what huprapeium did he say that O.O

  • Wait... Opium isnt an element...

  • @periodicvideos Why do so many of the elements end in the suffix "-ium"? Does it have a certain significance? And why then do so many other elements NOT end in "-ium"? :-)

  • @DaHitch666 Halogens end in -ine, Noble Gases end in -on, and the others were named before the periodic table was invented or much was known about chemistry.

  • Yay bismuth and gallium!

  • press 5 to hear helium!!!!!!

  • HELIUM!!!!!!!!!!!

  • watch?v=qmC7b6USj40 This was also good :)

  • tom lehrer

  • This deserves an award.

  • But...but....but....francium?!?!

  • Tom Lehrer one of my favorite proffesors through history and now you guys are making a cover of it and it's still funny to listen to.

  • now all we need is an auto tuned version...

  • @forsurenoob Exactly what I thought. This needs a good autotune.

  • They did a good job in covering this song.

  • I AM DAVE! YOGNAUT

  • @bumfree Hahaha. I AM DAVE! YOGNAUT Yogscast ftw.

  • @bumfree where did u come from? i was just watching this video then casually reading comments and then, wait... yogscast?

  • ' *Whispers* Modern Major General. '

  • Martyn Poliakoff Is The Shit!

  • You took an already awesome song and made it epic

  • Is that "Modern Major General" from Pirates of Penzance?

  • just sent this to my chem. teacher.

  • the fella left out the first "t" in protatctinium. Tom Lehrer rules.

  • Hahah love Neil's wink xD

  • AWESOME i love tom lehrer

  • Seriously if I grew up watching stuff like this I'd have been a chemist or something. Keep up the great videos. My kids one day hopefully will see this and be inspired by all your work!

  • Shock hes my lecturer

  • @sabiq1000 I want him to be my lecturer. I'm planning on studying in Nottingham. I want to study astrophysics and chemistry.

  • What video is the professor holding a striker to start fires?

  • My chemistry teacher keeps showing us these videos :D

  • @Nickname006 he gotta rock ;D

  • @heisenfeis And she's a woman :D

  • @Nickname006 She gotta rock ;D haha

  • @kum7104

    ahahaha

  • Whats so good about this video is that it shows the effort to which these professors are willing to go to pass on knowledge they consider so important to everyone. I love it...

  • @Davesintexas Thank you!

  • I'd love to shake the guy with the white fros hand. I feel like he'd just bestow knowledge by bearing near him.

  • If they would of showed this video in middle school I probably wouldn't have failed science this is way more fun then writing an element repeatedly on a piece of paper.

  • this song gives me nerd wood

  • Rock On!

  • I just studied this in science and took the test yesterday(:

  • press 8 for harry potters wond

  • whoa dont get in a fight over elements ok u bunch of nerds

  • This is really funny. I wish that when I was in highschool, my teacher had used this video to teach us how many different elements that there are. It has a catchy beat to it.

  • Hello periodicvideos team could you please create a video on chemical hydrides, mainly the ionic/saline hydrides this would be of great help to understanding hydrogen as multitype ions.

  • HELiUM!!!! :D

  • You know...I just don't know why the "viewers" of these videos think they can just be so nasty in their comments. What is happening to people today. I've seen several comments that should be removed. People today are really sick and disgusting. It just shows how stupid they are if they cannot comment with a vocabulary bigger than three or four words. You know who you are...right?

  • @PandaCrazedFreak look at this video, it has the original song:

Tom Leher's The Elements animated by TimwiTerby

  • @Nenglm Diamond is carbon....

  • @Nenglm LOL you're retarded, diamond is composed of carbon

just because it's difficult to break doesn't mean it isn't made of something smaller

  • PLUTONIUM!!!!! KA BOOM

  • proud to say that I learnt this song 5 years ago and I can still remember it today!

  • The crazy hair guy just makes this video all the more legit.

  • Not to be the armchair director everyone hates but this would have been much more effective had it included proper text on the bottom as an accompaniment.

Enjoyed your quick vomiting of unintelligible words nonetheless :)
