I love your guitar....beyond my funds...Im just stuck with a jap thing....as to your playing....you just dont make it....you just making something so simple sound complicated...
I am so glad I found this. Thank you so much for these incredible lessons. I'd say this is the best intro to rockabilly guitar playing I've seen anywhere on the internet. You can bet I'm practising.
How about Baby Let's Play House which I'm also trying to learn (although I don't want to be greedy ;)
@thecaveofthedead - I'm glad you liked it. It could have been better but I really had to edit a lot out. The tabs really help to clarify things. Look for Danny Gatton's 'Licks and Trick' Part 4 or 5. He slows down the basic picking pattern. I had to cut out all the slowed down parts. Maybe I should have cut out the wanking at the end instead.
@MyTwangyGuitar Just sitting with this again tonight figuring out the bits (of the basic first part) I'd missed.
The "wanking" is a whole bunch of ideas it would otherwise take half a lifetime to learn. So no worries. This is a wealth of knowledge in a very short video.
Thank you soooooo Mutch. Please belive when i tell you. It.s sooo f...... good to listen and (hope)leorn from you. Keep on.Maby many Young people will love to play Guitars .And NOT DO BAD THINGS. You are a verry good insperasion man.
Oh oh oh please do Warm and Windy or Windy and Warm what ever that Chet Atkins one is. I would love to see a tab and video for that one unless there is a copywrite issue.
Hey awesome playing! I have spent the last 3 days practicing from your tab and video and almost have this done path! Thank you so much for posting this.
Would you consider adding some Buddy Holly to your videos like :
Blue Days Black Nights, or Loves Made A Fool of You
@bartgen27 - Fantastic. I had a hard time writing that tab; playing it slowly is difficult for me. I may add some Buddy soon but it would be the more mainstream songs like 'Pggey Sue' and 'That'll Be The Day'.
Thank you very much for your outstanding work. I am going to use your site to help me start my new musical journey. I am 49 years old, and a so so player, but I have been wanting to take it to a much higher level. So thank you once again, and looking forward to learning from you. Lowell
Super lesson!.......I checked out your other lessons & videos. There's a lot of very great stuff there, so I am now a subscriber to your YouTube channel.
If you didn't learn anything this is too advanced for you. Leave these kind of lessons alone. Start at the beginning and learn some chords and strum a boom chuck pattern until you're a good rythm player.
1962 Bassman? Gretsch? RE-301? You are a gear master! I posted my first Honky Tonk Woman lesson video and you smoked me by a mile. Great gear and playing. Can you list ALL your gear?
I'm a gear nut myself. Play a twisted tele through a Tube Tape Echo. Also Anderson Strat. I'll definitely check out the rest of your videos. Thanks for the inspiration.
sounds great! ive got a '66 bassman that i put into a 1x12 combo cab. I still havent found a speaker i like yet though. What speakers are you playing through.
