@Urtleteudede It's not the same effect. Overly produced and crisp simply doesn't work with the death metal aesthetic. If you compare this album to Death's "Scream Bloody Gore" album you'll see what I'm talking about. Old death metal gives the feeling of the grim reaper puking sound in your face. This new stuff is just... Noisy. Don't get me wrong, the new stuff isn't horrible, but it lacks a real artistic direction. Too much emphasis on clarity and technical proficiency.

@Knarf009 i started listening to metal when they are crisp so i found the old metal harder to listen to but, in someways we are similar, i have trouble getting along with the 'even newer' metal, if u listen to some of the other newer metal bands, u will realise they are of no diffrence from pop with all those random keyboard beats u will realise that crisply produced metal is 1000x better that crisply produced pop metal

@cameronj279 it is the exact same riff as meshuggah except meshuggah plays it painfully fast. they make me want to punch the nearest asshole in the fucking mouth. but esoteric surgery is essentially the same riff just slowed down to where it makes you angry but it seeps in slowly. meshuggah hits you with 100% right from the get-go, and Gojira will let it slowly build up. i fucking love this genre :D

lamb of god looks like slayer mixed with pantera, an unique riffing style and death metal vocals, gojira is close to progressed morbid angel, they have one of the most unique riffing style in the world, not as meshuggah, chris adler is better than mario duplantier, randy blythe is better than joe duplantier, mark morton is better than duplantier on guitars, but gojira is very creative, i think they are equal...

Personally, I am not a fan of metalcore at all. But I do like bands like As I Lay Dying & Killswitch Engage. The problem you clearly cannot see is that Disturbed and The black dahlia murder is within two very different metal genres. The fact that you just rant on Disturbed just tells me that you don't like their genre of metal, which still doesn't give you the right to bring down Disturbed. The black dahlia murder are clearly good musicians, but you cannot say that the members of Disturbed aren't. That is just plane wrong...

lamb of god looks like slayer mixed with pantera, an unique riffing style and death metal vocals, gojira is close to progressed morbid angel, they have one of the most unique riffing style in the world, not as meshuggah, chris adler is better than mario duplantier, randy blythe is better than joe duplantier, mark morton is better than duplantier on guitars, but gojira is very creative, i think they are equal...
lamb of god = gojira
