you did a really good job for your first one, I could understand you clearly which is not the case for many youtubers. Thanks for making this vid for us who are old guys and dont know much about the hardware we want to use, great job , thumbs up
I was gonna buy this sucker until I saw the price on it. Ridiculous. Looks awesome but I just said screw it and grabbed a G13 instead. Couldn't be happier.
1) the roman number keys are program keys meaning you can bind programs on it for instance you can program teamspeak on the roman 1 button so if you press it teamspeak will start up.
2) I agree the num pad sucks.
3) the audio jacks on top of the keyboard ARE usable with soundcard because the have seperate pins on the keyboards cable (the cable consists of the usb port for your keyboard a mic plug and a sound plug) so you just put the usb port in and put the mic and audio cables on your soundcard
They feel pretty high end, they have a rubbery coating so your fingers don't slip.Idk specifically what they're made of though. That's only the space and the arrow keys the rest of the macros are just normal keys, but the keys on this keyboard are pretty solid.
Very pleased with mine, better than the lycosa as with the lycosa the lighting is steered by software (all keys or jusd WASD etc) which often just did what it felt like and reeaallyy got on my ...
The butterfly keys are perfect for fps and the backlights are just what you need at 4 in the morning.
just got one and was wondering the same thing. Also, the software won't let me program any keys, including the hot keys. When I hit the 'browse' button to change the assignment nothing happens. I am on Win7 x64 with latest software from their site.
i got one and i can make anything with the software:D....but to make the standby hotkey u must:Right click on an empty area on your desktop, select New>Shortcut, In the first box of the Create Shortcut Wizard, type "%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState" (without quotes). Click Next.Call the shortcut something like "Standby" (without quotes) and click Finish. Good luck!!!
Thank you for the reply. Only problem is that there seems to be a glitch with the Z software and Windows 7. I cannot customize any of the keys or hot keys. When I click to browse for an action, nothing happens, and no browse window opens up.

Just because I can comment;
I love this keyboard. Just got mine on Friday, took a day to get used to, but I doubt I'll ever be able to use the normal WASD setup anymore.

Do you know what the difference is between the stealth and the regular MERC? Would appreciate any info.
p.s. those 3 buttons near pause, play, etc.. they're just macro keys like you said, programmable =)
Skormm 2 years ago
the merc does not light up, and is not as good looking as the merc stealth. The stealth also have a few more macro keys
dsolash 2 years ago
Does it have volume adjusting buttons?
