  • I am a serious BYUfan and the fact of the matter is that BYU "plays like hell" when they come to USU. :)- But I still love BYU. And I appreciate USU's basketball program and I used to share a meal with Brady Jardine back in TX. And I always hope he does well!

  • Roll Tide

  • Plus outside of Utah nobody even cares what BYU does or do. They hardly even televise their games.

  • * throws snowball at bus *

  • Wow, very classy...

  • We (BYU fans) Do care about the game, it's a battle of the 2 best basketball teams in the state. Just as a whole USU HATES BYU, BYU just thinks it's a big game. Going to USU I go through all sorts of crap when I wear my BYU shirt on campus, doesn't mean I'm going to stop. Cougar for life.

  • @JBtheonetheonly Come On! USU DOES NOT hate BYU. There is so much hate BYU thinks it has which it actually does not. I am a student at a school that has the most heated basketball rivalry in the nation hands down, UNC vs. Duke. They keep their rivalry on the court, where it belongs, and yet it STILL is the most heated. Being a Utah native, I say that all the Utah schools could take a lesson from this rivalry on how to treat people, even if they are staunch supporters of their opponent.

  • @bradleyjh1 I didn't say they have the greatest rivalry in basketball. I said, being a BYU fan and going to USU I see the 1 way hate. That's all it is.

  • @JBtheonetheonly Hi JB, I am not sure I was understood, sorry about that. After spending my undergrad years at USU, your supposition of hate is generally not true. Of course, trolls on the message boards full of hate. My point was that the most heated rivalry in the nation understands and respects the strong and critical disconnect between athletics and people. Before and after game day, Duke & UNC students intermingle, no hate. I believe BYU, Utah, and even my Aggies should take a lesson here.

  • I'm not gonna lie, as much as I love USU basketball and as much as I love going to school here, I thought this was a tad over the top. I don't care what religion anybody is, doing anything that seems like making fun of somebody's beliefs is low

  • lol 1, 2, 3... This is typical USU stuff. Bunch of cheerleaders up there with their choreographed stuff. I say let them have their fun. This is what happens when every sport other than basketball sucks, so they gotta make the best of it when basketball season's on. And @oescalador1 BYU and Utah are both better universities than USU as declared by anyone who's opinion actually matters. Google it gaggie.

  • btw... did that dude down there just say BYU looks to beat great overall programs like UTAH???

    ROFL!!!!! UTAH???? ROFL!!!!

  • we dont need BYU to care... just shut up and take their ass whooping is all HAHA

YES THAT IS A SCORE BOARD!!!

  • I guess what we learn from this display of university pride is that the Aggie fans know they're in hell.

  • I'm sorry.... But this is a perfect example of why I cheer for anybody who plays USU... Just saying.

  • @Hassman, BYU and Utah rejects? I turned down a scholarship from BYU to go to USU. I liked USU better, and USU was a BETTER SCHOOL for what I want to do (engineering). At USU I've worked on experiments that flew on the international space station. How many BYU projects go into space? Anyone who thinks BYU and Utah are "better schools" are ignorant. Also, our atmosphere at college basketball games has been compared to that of Dukd and NC by major programs, so don't give me any of that HS crap.

  • USU Spectrum/Fans > Anyone who they play against

  • @southpaw102 didn't happen did it?

So we're not a rival but we beat you

  • There better not be any fans of, "The Lord's school," talking crap on here. What with the whole turning the other cheek, soft answer turneth away wrath, and thou shalt love stuff. Just saying.

  • Gotta love USU, bunch of hicks who still think they are in high school. That's why they will always be in the WAC and nobody will ever give a shit about them.

  • @Hassman sore loser?

  • @TheDSPsphinx I actually didn't even watch the game tonight because I could care less who USU played and what the score was. All I am saying is that regardless of how USU does this season, nobody will EVER care. Nobody in the country, and nobody in Utah. Why? Because it's USU. A school that is so desperate to be part of "the rivalry" yet never will. That city and school is SO boring it makes Provo look like a party town. That's sad.

  • @Hassman Idiot. Provo IS boring. Who ever hears, "I'm going to Provo to party"? And it does mean a lot, if BYU wins out, that makes USU look even better. If they lose, then it doesn't, but that means you just suck entirely. Go troll somewhere square.

  • @waltpack Thank you for proving my point, now just imagine how boring Logan, UT is. I can see it now, Friday night after the only decent team (BYU) comes in town. "Hey Bill! Let's go hump some cows!" Yeah, Logan sounds like a blast.... PS I am not arguing that BYU is a better basketball team, a win is a win. Just saying people at BYU could care less about USU....Is that so hard for USU fans to accept? You have your little rivalry with Weber, and that's all you will have.

  • @Hassman Humping cows? That is the best you can come up with? You are an idiot.

  • @jakedotsparks Dude it's Logan, not a whole lot of room to be creative....

  • @Hassman

Sorry about I probably wouldn't say us because I don't go to USU and don't care about them. but I have respect for them in a way. just like I have respect for every school in this state. In basketball I have respect for this state. Utah is basketball country which doesn't surprise me.

  • @Hassman you cared enough to watch the clip. USU is often a media darling. People like us come march because we're a mid major team that is often circled. Andy Katz loves USU, and if you dont know who that is, you dont know enough about College basketball to even make your assertion.

  • @Hassman

Yeah If I was going to a Party I would rather go to Vegas or Brooklyn to party and Brooklyn is a little rougher than Provo. just saying. A town that doesn't have beer and drugs. and If you don't about USU then why did you comment in the first place? I don't give one ounce of remorse what BYU thinks. you guys beat us football and after you guys rushed the field you deserve this loss. Plus I thought UVU was the HS. UV High lol

  • hellll yeahh!!!! go USU!!!!

  • so true so true. as a byu fan i care about utah more than utah st. and utah st doesn't like that. I do think its a rivalry, but not as big as byu vs utah thats for sure. however i do want to beat them

  • This is one of the reasons I find Cache Valley so enjoyable :)

  • @BJGommel "In-state rivals?" What is this, high school?? You're a Division 1 school--act like it. Those of us in the big leagues care about CONFERENCE rivals, and like it or not, San Diego State blew you guys out of the water when we were in the MWC. Come on Aggies, stop living up to your whiny stereotype.

  • @kizzi614 San Diego State doesn't have THE loudest Arena in the Country! So why don't you just go !@#$ yourself in Hell? Like all of SDSU and BYU!

  • The Celestial Kingdom to some. Hell to everyone else.

  • Weak.

  • Where in the Blue Hell is Utah State?

  • I feel that way about Logan as well. Hell.

  • Watch out Cougars!! They might dump milk on you!!

  • I think it is funny how BYU fans pretend they don't care about this game and that it means nothing to them. Fact is: USU is their in-state rival in basketball, and the last few years the games have been fantastic. We all know Utah would lose to a high school team. Come on Cougs, stop living up to your condescending stereotype.

  • @BGRommel Exactly. This is a big game for both programs; each program is almost always in the top three RPI games on both teams' schedules.

  • @BGRommel With the Utes falling upon hard times, the Aggies are the closest BYU's got to an in-state rival--but still only the closest thing.

  • @BGRommel Hate to break it to you, but BYU honestly just doesn't care. The only reason they even watch the game is because that's all they hear people from Logan cry about. BYU looks to beat great overall programs (like Utah), not teams (like USU's ONLY good sport.)

  • @Hassman For all your talk about "not caring" about USU, the fact that you spent your time replying to two different USU fans is a tad bit contradictory. If you really "don't care," don't bother posting a reply to these people you apparently don't care about.

Anyway, I loved this. Great way at jabbing towards the other team without being too vulgar/classless. I'm not even a USU fan, but I love what you fans do!

  • This was kinda lame. Not very clever.

  • Wow...talk about a perfect display of little brother syndrome. LOL! Inferiority complex much?

  • Fail...They waisted their time on this...Precious time that could of been spent on Cow Tipping or whatever they do up in the boons

  • @EcEryda69 1. BYU is in Provo. (To an outsider thats the pot calling the kettle black) 2. Cows aren't IN the city of Logan. (If there are there aren't many) 3. The Boons are pretty fun, I willingly left the suburbs to come to Logan.

  • @TheDSPsphinx the cows are close enough to the Spectrum to walk to them.

  • @juliablake781 where?

  • Comment removed

  • Hahaha The funniest part is that BYU doesn't care about USU nearly as much as USU does about BYU. As a BYU fan I don't see them as a hated rival. More like a sibling rivalry. Go Cougars(:

  • @AOviatt18 then why did BYU fans rush the field? No one rushes the field after beating a sub .500 team unless its an emotional win over a rival.

  • @AOviatt18 To bad Utah State is your Elder Brother ha!

  • Comment removed

  • @AOviatt18 Are you serious? It's because you think you're too good for us. Sibling rivalry? Since when do siblings think the other one is inferior and pretends they are not even capable of doing anything amazing?

  • @waltpack It's not that BYU thinks they are too good for you, it's the fact that they are. They reason that BYU and Utah will ALWAYS be out of your league (and I'm not just talking about basketball here) is because they act like real colleges that mean business. How do they do that? With class. You go to Duke, USC, Utah, you name it, they don't waste their time with HS crap like this video. Hence why USU will always be just a glorified HS. The rejects of Utah and BYU to put it simply.

  • @AOviatt18 Let's go Aggies!!! Who won??? I shouldn't be talking I HATE BYU, but their football is okay, not as talented (bad joke) as the UTAH State AGGIES!!!!
