in the 70's it was common practise to lip syn well known in the industry..noone really played "live" on tv... Chris and boys are jokers and because lip synching is a no brainer they used to get bored and do stuff.... chris at times was absolutely hilarious......

1978. The album was The Montreaux Album, and this is playback. But just look up Smokie live 1978, or Smokie Bratislavska Lyra. Then you'll find some concert performances, and of corse they're playing live there. :)

You must know why I''m happy. It's about playback. Maybe you like playback, but I don't! When Pete & Chris left Smokie in '86, they used much less playback. And after Alan Barton died, they also used less playback. And then Alan Silson left Smokie, and he couldn't play guitar, so it was less playback after that too.
