ok well i didnt dare take down any of my firewalls, and i had been having this problem on THIS account. All i simply did was delete the internet cache, passwords, cookies, preseve favourite webistes, etc. and now everythings peachy keen :)
Keep getting your page refreshed on youtube login?An option that worked for me is to delete your browser history.Just go to safety,it should be next to your tools icon.
In the safety icon it will give you the option to delete browser history.Do it,and you should be able to get signing in to youtube.
Another option is to go to google and search for google chrone.Download it and you can watch youtube on that application.

My problem is exactly the same as yours.... but this didn't work for me, I have two youtube accounts and my firewall is off but as I can sign into one of my accounts I can't sign into the other one.. my page and all my videos are still there but every time I try to sign in it will take me to the home page and I will not be signed in identical to the way this video depicts it but as I said before my firewall is OFF and I can still sign into one of my accounts, can anyone help me?????
Here is a solution that worked for me. Go to the youtube page, right click on the youtube logo, go to view image info, click permissions and allow cookies. Then sign in to your account. Let me know if this worked for you. I am hoping so. I was pissed until I figured this out!!!!

Mac Users!! What I found out is that my YouTube account was linked to the LAST gmail account that I made!! An account that I rarely use.If you have more than one gmail account you must try logging in with them ALL. IF and WHEN you find the right account and get in you must go into settings and find the link that says UNLINK YouTube from my Gmail account. You have to log out of Gmail. Click the unlink account link.THEN log into your regularly used gmail account and log in. Then link to YT.
I found by trial and error that if you have a Google account and YouTube account with the same user name you will see this issue to. What I had to do to resolve this issue was to make my Google account password match my YouTube account and then link them. The only issue I have with this resolution is now to log in to my YouTube account I have to type my complete Google email address as the user name.

Good tip - you can also add youtube.com to both "bad site exceptions" and "always allowed" in your firewall window. Then you will still be protected against real dangerous sites.

Dealt with this crap for about three hours today. When they send you the e-mail about changing your pass word, give it 24 hours, etc. there will be a link you can click on it if the problem hasn't been resolved. Click on it. They will want to know the date you signed up so look on your front youtube page. Also, I deleted my google account and then received a notice through my regular e-mail. Get ready for some serious aggravation!

YES, you are linked to a different gmail account. Try ALL of your accounts. If and when you get in, go to YT settings and find the link that says UNLINK MY ACCOUNT . You have to LOG OUT of gmail. Then sign back into gmail and open a new YT account and link it to your regularly used gmail account. I know it's bizzare but this is what happens.

Well, I had this problem for 7 whole god forsaken months. Well, It was horrible. I wasn't able to sign in, and I did exactly as you, and it worked. Well, I'm assuming it's only with this Firewall, maybe. Just saying thanks.

I have two email addresses I use,,, an old college email (edu) and a new Gmail-com ... I kept trying to use my gmail(dot)com email address to sign into youtube, but I already had it connected with my old college email address.. FIXED!!!!! USE YOUR ALTERNATE EMAIL ADDRESS (if you have one)!!

No, I uninstalled mine because it was annoying me. If you do a lot of downloads or online banking I would turn it off when getting on Youtube and back on once you are done.

YES, you are linked to a different gmail account. Try ALL of your accounts. If and when you get in, go to YT settings and find the link that says UNLINK MY ACCOUNT . You have to LOG OUT of gmail. Then sign back into gmail and open a new YT account and link it to your regularly used gmail account. I know it's bizzare but this is what happens.
