  • Excellent reinterpretation.

  • This is EXCELLENT! but still, doesn't touch the original

  • Great cover! :)

    Are you guys still around?

  • Never heard of you guys but this is great... keeping the Floyd legacy alive... rock on!

  • I fucking love this.

  • wow great. Hope Gilmour heard this

  • I Pink Floyd metallari non si possono sentì...

  • More of a re-take of the song than an actual cover, but sounds AWESOME. Great job. You guys are very talented.

  • Amazing, simply amazing...

  • I love you way of playing that song! If your guitar player left, call me! Where are you from?

  • this is the tastiest cover i've ever heard of a pink floyd song. wow. mind = blown.

  • @geegooman2323 So many suck at doing so, but these folks are the rare exception. They rocked me. I couldn't wait to hear what they did with the Lord's/Waters' Prayer section...

  • absolutely incredible, guys. you made an amazing rendition of one of my absolute favourite floyd songs from one of their most under appreciated albums. huge thumbs up and this video deserves more views. your band is just fantastic, that is really what i think. oh by the way, which one is brian toy?

  • Damn man, nice scream at 3:04! This is definitely the best cover i've seen yet, you somehow keep it true the origional while making it heavier and your own. You also manage to keep the trippy feel of Floyd with the synth sounds and haunting echo vocals. I've been a Floyd fan ever since i was in elementary school, and it's great to see new bands with this kind of inspiration coming out, gives me hope for the future of music :)

  • Nice cover well the Effects of the song when its trying to sound like a massive factory is kind of off and you did alrite on the vocals! COVER DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this version rock!! it sounds like totaly different and this the good point of your version. It's like an hard rock song in some parts and in other it's like the original version. But what a shame that the last riff on the guitar was not more powerfull.

  • I need an MP3 of this man!!!

  • damn nice! thank you for posting this treat for us PF fans!

  • This is truly a VERY strong and original rendition of the song. My congratulations for taking such obvious care with the breaks and transitions. This is a unique and perfectly legitimate interpretation of the original work. Well done, guys!

However, I do agree with an earlier comment on the guitar levels in the coda. The rhythm section is particularly strong throughout, and really nails it the coda, but in so doing the guitars end up getting completely drowned out.

  • @271Ds I agree 100% with everything u said, which rarely happens by the way.

  • The only complaint I have is to turn up the guitar during the ending guitar jam with those huge sounding chords David does. Other than that, it was really good.

  • @Killinfloor That would be my only complaint also. In every other respect, this rocks.

  • Covers are about playing a song written by someone else and giving it a little spin. This has a very hard feel to it. Pink Floyd in my opinion had a hard rock/ punk feel in Animals.

A kid from my school can hear this and never even imagine it to be from a song from the seventies, because no kid I know has ever even heard the words Pink and Floyd in the same sentence before.

  • "i am 48" ha ha,( so am i) tosser, not a bad version

  • I'm an hardcore fan of PF too, but i've really appreciated this cover.

It's not an easy song to cover but the result is really good, different, with your own style.

    Congrats guys and keep singin'.

  • thanx for posting you guys... awesome cover... keep on the good work, and SHINE ON..!!!

  • You guys did this song very good justice. Nice work!

  • I'm 48 and am a "hard core" Pink Floyd fan.

    Man that was awesome!

    Thanks for the post.

    Cheers.

  • pretty good

  • youre the one that doesnt have any fuckign taste or at least very straightminded

do yourself a favor and be a bit more liberal, listen to a song in different versions nd maybe even try a completely new genre its a totaly new experience

  • Dude, i must admit. I'm an anomoly, being a 16 year old who is in LOVE with PF (fav band). But the modern spin on this is amazingly entertaining. I could see this on an album, maybe a single. It was EXTREMELY impressive, and i give major props to Braintoy. HUZZAH

  • 5* for that comment^^

  • bravissimi, eccezionale, porca troia!!!

  • only 1533 views? you guys rocks

  • I'm fucking speechless...So many bands trying to do note for note Floyd covers and why not they're virtually perfect the way they are but that was awesome. Love the heavy edge...every deviation from the original was tasteful, powerful and very fucking cool. Awesome bass sound. That's not a cover it's an interpretation and a damn good one. I gotta go listen again.

  • W O W!!!

    Cover dogs!!!

Cover the whole damn animals album!!

  • I said it on the other page but , GREAT. Enjoyed the hell out of this.

  • Very nice interpretation of a powerful song. Think Floyd.

  • H.O.L.L.Y. S.H.I.T.!!!!!!!!!

Now that was something else. Way to go!! Gotta admit it's one of best P.F. covers I´ve listen to.

    Best regards

  • When Floyd plays this song live, and on the album, in certain parts such as "harmlessly passing your time in the grassland awaayy!" as Gilmour stretches the "away" out it sounds like his voice goes away and is matched equally by an electronic sound such as guitar or microphone effects. I noticed that your singer was doing this on his microphone. Can you please tell me how they do it, and what that type of microphone you are using, if you can? thanks. You did a FANTASTIC job on this btw!

  • Roger Waters sang this not David Gilmour

  • Interesting. I kinda like the gothic flair you have given this version. Good job!

  • NICE FUCKIN WORK BOYS!!! sounds super great!

heard of you last winter through Cam W.

    keep it uP!

    cheers

  • very cool..thanks Amy for the share!

    Robby;)

  • Not bad! Thankfully the band's version of the 23rd Psalm was drowned out. *****. Good work, braintoyband.

  • could listen to you guys all day

  • P.S. thanks for giving me an acid flashback!!! Better now than at my wedding!!!

  • Way to go guys, you captured the dark spirit of the original without getting clon-ish. BTW, your lead singer kinda has a Vederesque quality. Good luck and go far!

  • Yeah! Minimoog! I also noticed your a member short. What happened to the fifth guy?

  • We have always been a four piece. Our bassist/keyboardist magically plays bass with his feet while playing keyboards. He also can juggle bowling pins upside down while eating a sandwich.

  • That's pretty sweet. So he uses Taurus Pedals. Are you guys big Rush fans?

  • Always have loved Rush.We don't listen to them much now but they are a definite source of inspiration, along with all of their influences as well.Plus they are from Canada!

  • Let's not hold that against them though eh ;O)) Oink.

  • God damn that's good.

    Are you guys touring?

  • I've checked out the other videos as well and these guys are making some awesome music. I am getting the Vehicles CD! Keep up the great work guys, quality original music seems to be getting all to rare these days.

  • what equipment did you use to record this? i love the quality and effects along with the awesome music.

  • We recorded it live to a 24 track hard disk recorder. The effects are too many to mention without being specific but they are all 99% done live with a bit of tweakage in post.If you want to know anything else please message us.

  • thanks for the info. i was mainly talking about how you recorded this live, even the camera work. i already knew there was a lot effects being used, thousands and thousands of dollars worth i bet. well, thanks again and keep up the great work.

  • we set up 6x cameras, four of them were hd and the other two were handy cams, plus some lights in the practice space and put those on dimmers. our favourite lighting tech ran the lights and we had a couple great camera ops out to help. we recorded a few takes, and we liked this one best. then the video was edited, treated and married to a mix of the 24 track recordings, placed on the middle rack of our oven at 350 for 25 minutes.... et voila!

  • Both parts are excellent!

  • Very enjoyable.
