I don't intend to throw him under the bus, but I've never played the cello until yesterday, and I could instantly play that song. He just needs to focus a little more, and he could go far. Again, I'm a fifth year violinist, (First chair in a chamber group), so It's not the same as him.  A+ for effort ;)

@meiangie finally a positive comment thanks meiangie, and to people who are gonna be mean to the kid just take into consideration that i'm a cellist of 11 years and i play professional pieces and guess what, I started off just as awkward, and just as timid but if you heard me now you wouldn't know it, this kid isn't a prodigy but hes a cellist regardless and his limits are only as far as he will allow. To the young man in this video i say good job and keep it up and don't let people get you down

He' not a bad cellist, he is just starting. That still doesn't make him a prodigy though. And be careful with the cello and the end. it is a beautiful and expensive instrument and if treated like that, will easily break.
