Where I used to live, if you were a white woman driving around town on your own, before too long a car full of South Asian men would end up forcing you to pull over and insist that you hit their car "back there" and needed to pay them for the damage.
The police never did shit because it was always one woman's story (and since she accused a non-white person of breaking the law, a racist woman at that) against a car full of witnesses stories.

My father had something like this happen before in the states a few months after immigrating from Vietnam. It seems to be even if you are trying to to help, people take advantage of the "foreigners" especially when you don't speak the native language.

in england they also pick up the bike and drive off. especialy if they hit it. saw it today, there was a nice cbr125 in a parking space and a car pulled around into it at speed not knowing the bike was there.
got out, looked around and picked it up and left... what a waste of a shopping trip.
